Now that the 2008 Royal Rumble is over, were you guys satisified with the result and the whole ppv ?
As for me, I guess excluding the Rumble match, other matches results were reasonable. I can't see Edge lose at the Rumble to Mysterio, I guess the best scenario he loses at nex Wrestlemania 24 and better be to the Deadman. Same thing applies to Orton and Jeff match. Orton is way better and if he is to be defeated by someone, definitely it would not be Jeff. Glad Flair was victorious, and Y2J and JBL match was okey.
Now the Rumble match, well a surprise comeback for Cena but honestly didn't like the way it is orchestrated, they've made it too easy for him to win the rumble, other superstars easily eliminated out of the ring. I just hope it won't be a lengthy boring reign again.
What do you think guys ?

In my personal opinion alot of the wwe pay per views are getting really boring and dull along with their shows because you basically know what's going to happen before it even happens. I just wished the attitude era was back because that was the only time that I really enjoyed watching wresting...the only exciting thing that happens anymore is when the rock makes an appearence and that is not very often, I wasn't satisfied with the royal rumble at all I mean can't they make wrestling interesting again and not keep going down hill.

I fully agree with you, I still remember the rivalry between Stone Cold and the Rock, I still remember the Misinstry of Darkness stuff and I do still remember the faction days, Nation of Domination damn man it was real cool. Good people and talented superstars left at their prime, like Psycho Sid, Kevin Nash, Razor Ramon, Booker T, etc ....
As you said, it is too damn predictable and most scenarios don't meet my expecatations. They marketed superstars who are way below average and bla bla bla. WWE has superstars with tremedous potential but for some reason they are not marketed. Anyway thanx for the reply. I am not against promoting Cena but if u remember last time he held the title it almost stayed one year that you know in advance what'll happen in the ppv, it became so much boring.

This was definitely one of the worst Royal Rumbles, I hate the champions they got now both matches were foregone conclusions with neither champion being able to hold the belt if they fought honestly.
The actual Rumble was crap too without half as many laughs as usual. And what was with the fat old dudes being in it. I dont mind them resurrecting old wrestlers but when they have let themselves go like that they become nothing less than a joke.
Having Hornswaggle in the match was stupid too and that didnt raise a laugh either like it should have, in fact he shouldn't have been in the line up. As for Finley who was supposed to be in the line up he didnt even get a number (I guess Cena got his slot).
In my opinion the Royal Rumble is the BEST pay per view of the year..... having said that I don't hold any hopes for any of the other pay per views now, cos if the Rumble sucked so bad God help us for the rest of the years pay per views.
One other things I am sure that the Championship match between Orton and Hardy was for both belts but both champions left with their own belts... what was that all about?

Hi there
I agree with you on the fact that the Royal Rumble has the potential to be one of the best PPV's of the year (In addition to Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Servivor Series) but unfortunately it was poorly done.
As I said before, WWE is running out of good scrips. They wanted Cena winner ? fine! but they could have orchestrated it in a better way. Look at Cena when he entered the ring at Rumble match, HHH and Batista were easily eliminated as if they had no experience or whatsoever in such matches. And why did Cena have to win the Rumble anyways? They wanted him champion again at Wrestlemania? fine but why does it have to come on the expense of the Rumble match? Is it a must that Cena becomes a world champion again at Wrestlemania?? why not otherwise where he fights his way back for some time before he gets to the top again????
The old names? I am not against bringing old names back to the ring, but making them joke before the audience isn't acceptable at all. Bring them back but give them the respect and the prestige they deserve.
I guess Orton and Hardy match was on only for the world title coz Hardy defeated HHH and qualified to meet Orton for the World Title
Thank you very much for your comments

I wanted HHH to win the Royal Rumble match. Of course when Cena made his surprise comeback as #30 I knew that wasn't gonna happen.

Well I am an Undertaker fan but would not mind HHH winning the Rumble, I prefer him over Cena but as you said when Cena showed up, it was almost obvious that HHH won't win the Rumble, I think the result of Wrestlemania 24 world title between Cena and Orton is almost known by now. I just hope Cena's reign won't be lengthy like last time.
Thanx 4 ur response.
