One day, my niece was on my computer and when she came off, I had a problem with pop up ads, and my computer became slower. I used an anti-spyware/adware program to get rid of most and my computer is back to its' normal speed, but I am still getting pop up once in a while that will open in a new tab. I sometimes get audio ads. Is there anyone who knows how to get rid of them for good? and willing to share the information or which program to use? I don't know what to do and I do not want to re-format my computer.

You might want to check whether you have a Trojan or any other malware that is not easily detectable. You can download and install a free application called HijackThis, which scans all the running programs. If there's something you don't recognize, post in a computer help forum...

Use a computer with a built in Pop Up Blocker like Firefox or IE7, and run AntiVirus/AntiSpyware regularly with the latest updates. If you have no browsers open you shouldn't be getting any popups unless you are infected.
