Do You Stock Up Beauty Products?

Anyone who talks to me must know that I am a skincare/ makeup fanatic. Indeed, I was clearing up my mess earlier and found that I have more beauty products than I thought. I must have stocked them up while they were on promotion or on sale! *laughs* Now, I promised myself not to spend money on skincare/ makeup products until I have finished most of them.
What about you? Do you have the habit of stocking beauty products up? Or do you buy something new only when you have totally used up your old ones?

when i see your name, i definitely associate it with beauty and skin care. ^__^;;
i don't really stock up beauty products because they expire right? i buy only those that i need which i can consume before it gets expired. and i don't usually buy different products. i prefer to use those that i always use and those that i am comfortable with. before, i used to make mistakes of buying and testing products that seem appropriate for me. but then, it will turn out that they are not effective for me so i just stored them and after a few months, i noticed that the color of the content changed and it seemed like unhealthy to use it anymore. ^__^;;

Yes sometimes I do give them away if I haven't opened the box. It's a good way too! Like today, I am giving one night cream away to my friend! I have only one face, I can't really use that many products! *laughs*

I wish I could be as sensible as you when it comes to beauty products! I am doing better now *laughs*, still, I could buy buy BUY! Now I really have to splurge them on my face and body so as to catch up with the expiry date!

*laughs* I am slowing down too! I want to clear up my cabinet before getting new products! It annoys me when I see them sitting there forever!

Hello wondericequeen,
I tend to throw away things quite easily *smiles* But I don't know why, whenever it is something about my beauty products, I will keep them there forever even if I know that they are already expired and can't be used anymore *smiles*

In fact I don't have a habit of stocking beauty products. However, sometimes I will buy them when they attract me. Soon I have more beauty products than I expect. It seems that it's hard for me to finish the old ones because I always like to try something new. This is what my husband complains about:) He never understands why I need some many different products. He never knows which one is for body, and which one is for face etc.

I rarely buy beauty products and stock them up coz some beauty products have a very short shelf life. I only stock beauty products that can really last a long time. Lipstick and mascara for instance are not safe to use when they last for more than 3 months in our kits. Some creams also have to be used as directed so we cannot really keep them long in our kits. :)

That's true! Now I really have to work hard in using them up, otherwise, it would be a waste!

Yes, we have a few outlet stores where they have nice things at up to 70% off and when I see something that I normally costs $30 on sale for 8.99, instead of getting just one there is a tendency to buy 3! The latest item was when we found 16 oz bottles of Bayliss & Harding Shower Gel on sale for $1.50 each. I bought 6!

*laughs* Same here! Last time when Victoria's Secret was on sale, I almost bought their whole store (mostly skin care and perfume stuff).

If you compare me to my two female siblings, then you'll realize that I'm not really into cosmetic stuffs. Because of that, my sister never fails to give me a bottle of lotion. As a matter of fact, I have four big bottles of skin and body lotion and I'm trying to use them as much as possible. She's actually my source of supply for lotions and I don't need to buy one anymore. But the problem for me now is to make sure that I get to use all of those big bottle of lotions.

I don't use make up much any more; it usually takes me a year to use up a thing of mascara or eyeliner. Plus I usually get one of each in my stocking every christmas, so I'm always stocked up.
