Companies are bypassing safety requirements by putting a tag that says "not intended for sleepwear" Check your kids pjs and robes!!

I never really thought about the safety of my kids sleepwear. But why make sleepwear if its not intended for sleepwear. ?

The article I read says they do that to bypass putting the flame retardent chemical on the clothing. It's apparently cheaper NOT to use the chemicals. Thereby putting kids at risk.

Flame resistant clothing can become non-flame resistant if placed it the washing machine with a dryer sheet. The dryer sheet removes the flame resistant stuff from the clothing.
