Do you still listen to the radio?

It seems I only listen to the radio anymore in my car while driving...and usually while I do that I just switch between stations anytime a commercial comes on... I don't think we even have a radio in our house...I just put a playlist on my computer when I want to listen to music. When I was younger I used to love the radio...I remember me and my mom trying to tape songs from it, lol. My husband listens to talk radio all day while he is working and driving. I don't know how he can stand it. So what about you? Do you listen to the radio still? Or do you rely on your computer for listening to music?

There was a time when I used to listen to radio, I even have a schedule of what program to listen to :) but nowadays, I listen to internet radio. surf the net, type in the url of my favorite internet radio station then listen all the way.. Does listening to internet radio count as the same as listening to the radio the "usual/old" way?

If I listen to the radio, it is usually while I am driving. I'm like you I just use iTunes on my computer while I'm home. I also use my iPod in my car sometimes too, but I often like to have a variety of music, so I flip over to the radio to see what they have playing. I also enjoy using the radio that is broadcasted over the internet to get a variety while I am at home.

I listened to the radio often when I was a teenager, but not much any more. When I was younger, I would record my favorite songs from the radio onto a cassette tape. Now, if I listen to the radio, I either do not like what is playing or I love it and wish to go out and buy it, which I can not afford to always do. Or I already have the saong and can listen to it anytime I want to. Then, there are the memories, I hate listening to old songs that bring back memories of the past, whether they were go or bad memories. Either way, I end up sad. Feel it is a good memory, then I long for that time, if it is a bad memory, I long to forever forget that time. Bottom line, I am way to emotional for the radio these days, LOL.

I no longer listen to the radio today. As there are less nice songs but full of boring programs. Especially at night, you have to hear a lot of medical programs and this is quite annoying.

yes, there really are not many good songs anymore...you would think the radio stations & record companies would figure this out, but they don't.

LOL, I don't know how he can stand it either. I don't listen to the radio except very occasionally. For a while I subscribed to Napster, though, to hear streaming music of my choice without commercial interruption. I liked it a lot, but then I got a better computer and they didn't work on it. So I tried Rhapsody but it wasn't as good. Oh well, hubby has CD's we've never even heard yet. Maybe by the time we listen to all of them Napster will have their act together.

We usually listen news on radio every morning starting from 5:00am till 10:00am, because that is the time, my nieces likes to watch cartoon shows on TV. At night when we are ready to bed, we use to set our radio on FM station to listen music. Usually music streaming at night are good compared to what is being played at daytime.

I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore because it has gone downhill over the years in my area. They usually play the same thing over and over or they keep messing with the station formats. The only time I have it on is when I'm driving or sleeping. I don't totally blame them because I think music just isn't as good as it used to be. I'm not a fan of a lot of people they play and of course it's the same artists they play 50 million times a day. You would never catch me listening to talk radio. It drives me crazy!

I hate hearing the same song over and over again...some stations here have adopted a "no repeat workday" policy where they don't play the same song over and over again. thx for the response!

Honestly the only time I ever listen to the radio at home anymore is when they have a program on where people sell stuff. It lasts about an hour and it's on 6 days a week. I have a radio but fail to turn it on since I have a computer and cable to listen to music on.

I like listening to radio a lot. Some times when I am depressed I like getting my mood lightened by distracting my mind by radio talks..!! Its much more lightening and refreshing sometimes..!! And the way I get to listen to good mixed playlists of songs in radio is the thing I like the most. Sometimes I get myself stucked up in just making a playlist of my own in my computer... so in this case I just turn on the radio, and belive me it gives me my fav. playlist most of the times. As I almost like all kinds of music to some extent!! Well but I am still in youth so as you said that you did the same in your youth, so lets see how I get to grow up in an adult. :)

The only time I listen to the radio is in the car. I don't like to listen to commercials so when one comes on I just surf to another station. What I listen to in the house is my CD player. I don't listen to music on the computer. There is screen savers on mine and if you don't actually use the computer they come on and knock the music off. So I don't listen to music on the computer.

Now that my ipod is broken yet again..we are listening to the radio in the car again. My husband did burn a few CDs from our playlist though. We do not have a radio in our house. We play music hooked up to our surround sound through the computer, external drive or ipod (when it works!)
