Is this normal weather for Wisconsin?

I have lived in Wisconsin for 6 years now and I have never seen weather like we are having this year. Yes, I was told we get lots of snow and it is really windy here but I never imagined it was like this. I can take the snow but I can't take the wind chill temperatures we get here. After being spoiled with mild winters for five years I really need to ask if this year's weather is normal for us. What do you think?

I have lived in Wisconsin all my life and I have to say this is not normal weather this year. Generally we don't get hit this hard until NOW. Meaning the bad snows don't hit at all until late january - march. Now yesterday we got a ton of snow and it drifted everywhere, but it was thundering and lightening first. It was completely bizarre!! Now the -40 degree wind chill I could do without, but I guess that is normal, especially when you live rightnear the water like I do!

I live about an hour north of Madison and we too got snow but it only amounted to about 4-5 inches. The wind and drifting is what did us in. Our drive was drifted and my better half said I should have no problem getting out as we have an all wheel drive and it goes anywhere. Well, maybe the car goes anywhere but I didn't. I ended up getting stuck in a drift (didn't understand about high siding)and it took half the day to dig me out. I don't think we have got this much snow since I have been here but I guess I will need to get used to it.

yes i have lived in wisconsin for 44 years and had lots of snow but i heard you got hit realy bad this year and that is why i moved to a warmer place just in time lol.

i believe the winter was extremely different than usual and now that we are into summer i think that is even different we have had so much rain already and really hot days now. does anyone agree about the summer being a little different also? please respond.
