Issue of people being shy, hesitant, holding back is significant in society

why isnt our society completely made up of people with optimistic, why is our society percieved or imagined as evil or pessimistic ??

Maybe because we are all different views in life, different experiences in life that lead us to be optimismic or pessimistic. What is important is that people may change and be the best on their nature.
