Hi guys, I am very new to the tattoo world, but not to art.I am fascinated with drawing.I found a really good starter piece to build on for my very first tattoo, which will be a fairly large size back piece.I really love fairies, plus this is going to be a tribute to my daughter that I lost 9 years ago this July.I want also to incorperate some fireflies to represent my son and my baby to be,to sort of flutter above her.Any suggestions on what else I could add to bring this piece to life?I love the fairy tale mythical theme, and I would like to continue with that.Thank you for any suggestions you may have!!! ♥Heidi

Thank you for your suggestions....We aren't too religious,so I am afraid that the cross would be too much, but I like the halo and angel wings suggestion!!

The Fairy pic below my discussion is the one I will be using, the halo would be a great addition :) Thanks

Well you could add some flowers maybe..I would say your best bet is to talk to the artist who will be doing the tat and collaberate on it....

Yeah the guy that will be doing it is definitely going to be adding to it in the future, this is a piece that he will be building around, we agreed tho that the dedication piece for Alley be designed by me.So the only thing that won't be my original work is the main fairy from the picture above, I fell in love with that when I saw it.I am thinking about adding some mushroom patches, a moon, some stars, the fireflies and some smaller fairies flying around in the distance. Also there was a necklace and bracelet I bought for her when I was pregnant, I am going to have those added to the main fairy as well. This piece when it is finished will take up the majority of my back.I will do the outline first of course, then go in for the color sessions.Ouch, right?!

That all sounds really good. The fariy tattoo you posted I have seen before and I really like it too. You idea sounds very good and very personal. I also like the idea someone else gave you about the halo that would be a good addition to it. As for making it come alive more I would choose good colors to go with it. Just make sure your 100% happy with it before getting it. I drew mine up and left it by my mirror so everyday I had to look at it so I new I wanted it when I got it for my 18th birthday.
