Nike products?

This is what i have heard. donno if it is true or not. Nike products cannot really last despite of its good design. What do you guys think? Cause i have one pair of nike shoe.. n the sole came off in just a year's time.

I have one pair of NIKE tennis shoes that I have owned since 1999, that's 9 years already. They look very rough, but they are still very comfortable.
