The Slayers: do you like it?

There are no discussions about this wonderful anime. What a shame!
It's a sword&sorcery anime about a young sorceress named Lina Inverse and his companions:
Gourry, swordsman
Amelia, princess and white magic user
Zelgadiss, chimera (a mixture of a human, golem and demon) and shaman
Xelloss, a trickster priest (who's in reality a powerful demon)
and so on...
Do you know it? Do you like it? What are your favourite characters?
I've made a website and some fics about it.

i have watched this anime a long time ago and i did really enjoy it. but i was never able to finish it because the local channel where it was being aired didn't show the rest of the episodes. and then, luckily, it was aired by another local channel and i thought then that they will finally finish it. unfortunately, they didn't again. .

The english dubbing of Amelia is awful, so a lot of people find her annoying. I like her but she's not my favourite character.

Instead I like Amelia a lot
I'm a big fan of the Zelgadiss/Amelia couple, but I know a lot of fans of Zel hate the princess (coz they want Zel all for them, and I can't blame them LOL)

I haven't seen this series in years! I don't have it, but watched it with a friend, and now your mention of it makes me want to go watch it again! :)
I guess Lina herself is really probably my favorite character. I just like her attitude. :P

Watch it again, it's hilarious to no end! Better to watch it in japanese than in english by the way (some eng dubbers make my ears explode)

I havent heard of this anime, slayers, before. Is it good? I am just wandering because I really need new anime recommendations. I have about 216GB of anime on my harddrive and Ive seen it all already!

Slayers was one of my first anime, actually. And, although it's definitely disappeared under the weight of newer and more easily available titles, my time spent with it certainly wasn't wasted (at least I think so).
My favorite characters had to be Zelgadis and Xellos, though. (Although I'll admit looks play really heavily into that fact)

yeah, ive watched this anime before and it is a funny one, and indeed about sword and sorcery, its cool and before i used to save some images of this anime and make wallpapers out of it. sure it does have in random sites you'll find fan fics and other stuffs like drawings. you just need to look for it
