hi there! after some time of taking the effort to lose weight, i have finally lost 3 lbs. it is not much for now, but it is the start. anyway, i used to skip breakfast. then i would end up eating more than my fair share at lunch because i am already starving. now, i eat a ealty breakfast, either a good sandwich or rice with viand and a hot beverage, usually hot choco. i feel full and don't have to have my morning snacks and i don't pig out at lunch. isn't that great? so in the morning, before rushing to get through the day, eat your power meal--eat breakfast! get a lot of energy and loss some weight in the process. take care you all and God bless! :-)

Eat Fruit For Breakfast - Fruit is refreshing and cleansing.
I have to disagree with you. Breakfast is one of the worst meals that you can eat. Instead of eating a meal for breakfast you should eat whole fresh fruit (not canned or perserved, no cooked fruit or processed) and or fresh squeezed juices. Juices you make in a juicer. This is the best thing to eat and/or drink in the morning. Oh I forgot water, water, water, is an excellent. Having a glass a water first thing in the morning is wonderful. The water cleanses the stomach and removes particles from the stomach and intense. Regular food should be eaten at 12:00 pm, noon.

There is no way I could wait till noon to eat. Especially if I'm working. By the time breakfast rolls around, there has been a long time with no food. I feel better if I have some oatmeal, and a yogurt, then I'm raring to go.

me neither. can't stand without breakfast. fruit juices make me acidic. skipping breakfast would make me want to eat more during lunchtime. and when i eat a lot, i get lethargic, and the sack is what i hit right after eating.

Congrats on losing the weight and I know exactly what you mean about the whole breakfast thing...I have noticed that before if you eat a good breakfast and not some junk food that it will hold you over for most of the day and you aren't as hungry the rest of the day(I dont know what it is about breakfast but i agree with you that it is better to eat a healthy breakfast instead of just skipping it or whatever) I guess its really true what they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the entire day!

I couldnt agree more. Eating breakfast is not only healthy for your weight but for your all around well being. I have tons of friends who dont eat breakfast because they either dont have time or too tired to make something that early. What theyre really doing to themselves is maintining their metabolism extremly low untill they eat a huge lunch. This jump start in metabolism is very unhealthy as calories are only burnt during those spikes during meals.

Yeh i have heard this before. I have also heard that a good breakfast is what your brain uses to work throgh the day. Another thing that helps with weight loss is eating more! What I mean is eating smaller meals, but eat those small meals 5 to 6 times a day. Now how small your meal is depends on how active you are during the day. This plan works, because your metabalism has to work the entire day insead of just 2 or 3 times a day. If your metabalism stays up instead of rising and falling then you will burn more callories. Itried this diet with exercise and I lost 60 pounds in three months.

I am sorry, hope no one will be mad at me. But, I think, the biggest problem is fast food. You are right, have to eat breakfast, it is very important. But, when I see that USA have so many over weight people..I can't believe. I am from Europe, here, we eat much different than in USA. I never go to fast food restaurants, we know very well that it is very bad for you body, not healthy..I don't see the reason to poison myself with that food. Never have problems with weight. Also, people shouldn't drink Cola..very bad! In the end..if u don't eat fast food and don't drink things like Cola, you will loose weight

I've noticed I eat alot less at lunch if I have breakfast too. I don't even have to eat much for breakfast for it to make a difference. Cereal doesn't do much for me though. One of my favorite things for breakfast is fruit on top of cottage cheese. Very good and filling!

Congratulations on your losing weight. I agree with you. Eating breakfast is one way of shedding the extra weight. Breakfast is actually the most important meal of the day. Eating more on fruits and vegetables and exercise would also be effective in losing weight.

I think so. After having breakfast, I can have a good mood in the morning and focus my attention on what I do, and I can eat less in the lunch. And friends also tell me that, but I can not make it, for I always get up late in 10 in the morning, so there is no breakfast for selling and near the time for lunch now.

Thanks for the idea! I am not really on a diet, but most of my friends are and I'll be sure to tell them all about this. They have been depriving themselves of good food lately just to look good for the upcoming summer splash. It's pretty amusing and at the same time saddening. Quick question though, during breakfast, can you eat a full meal? Or a big meal rather. Make yourself really full. Will that help you lose weight?

That's very true coz i feel healthier back when I was eating breakfast everyday than now that all I am having for breakfast is a cup of coffee. I seldom take any solid food. Try also getting enough sleep, say 8 hours a day. Some says that sleeping 8 hours a day makes your bofy funstion properly, thus regulating your metabolism.

WOW! I read this and really related to a lot of the responses. Until recently, I skipped breakfast and often lunch (I'd get so busy at work...)then I stuff myself all night. Needless to say, I developed a real weight problem. I also had 'issues' with food that is normally considered breakfast food - I am gluten and lactose intolerant and can't do fruit or fruit juice in the morning as it is too acidic for my stomach. THEN, in June, a friend introduced me to Isagenix - a nutritional cleansing program for better health. I really works! I have had breakfast AND lunch every day since then (June 11!)and have released a ton of weight - I've gone from a size 26 to an 18 and am still losing with ease. www.lautz_tm.isagenix.com I also FEEL GREAT! I don't need my coffee anymore and I have even energy throughout the day. I am an ...ISA Believer!!

My husband is always saying that. And I keep reading that. It makes sense. The problem with me is I'm not usually hungry when I get up. So it's hard for me to justify eating when I'm not hungry. I know I just need to do it and "retrain" myself, but it's hard.

I agree with you. I have learned that when your body goes too long without food, it actually goes into starvation mode. So, your body's metabolism actually slows down, because it doesn't know when it's going to get fed again. So, it causes you to hang on to weight. It's better to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals during the day, including breakfast.

Yeah I heard that also is one of dieting technics that many are doing. There was even a saying that at breakfast eat like a king lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.

I think you are right. I have heard that having a balance diet will have a normal weight. The people who want to lose weight by skipping a meal, actually it's easier for them to eat more and then gain more weights. I never skip breakfast. If I am in a hurry, at least I will eat something like biscuits. Otherwise I will feel so hungry when I am working.

You're on diet too? I'm on the same boat I've lost 2 kilos just avoiding junk food but now I can't manage to loose more. I never skip breakfast, I know I couldn't resist without it.
