If you owe money to your new friend and honestly you said to your friend that you will pay him in partial because you cant pay him in 1 payment and you become emotional and tears drop in your eyes because of your difficult current situation ... and then your friend said "take it as my christmas gift to you; dont worry about it" Would you pay him back? or take it seriously that its a gift and no need to pay back? Please help, want to hear your comments.

i'd pay them back as soon as possible. i hate owing people money and hate when people give me some bs reason why they can't pay me back. money and friends do not mix well.

thanks. you are right. i dont like owing money to a friend coz its not really me... i cant sleep at night and feel very shameful about it. other people will step on you if you keep borrowing, seems to be a bad reputation.
