Well, I'm at it again. Updating my resume. Using correct grammar. Perfect typing, neat margins. Not these little phrases haha. I'm looking at it as a fun project this time around. Me, wonderful me this time - no cut and dried out list of jobs and accomplishments. I'll let it be a self esteem project this time around. I'll see what happens - how bad can it be - I don't get a response? Been there.
Do you hate rewriting your resume? Do you update it regularly? Do you think the format matters more than the content? There are tons and tons of sites out there on how to write the resume, what to put in ad nauseam. I can't take this job hunting so seriously anymore. I need a job darn it, but I am no longer the humble job seeker - someone needs me out there and they need to know about it. Who know?

At least you are taking it all with a grain of salt and a sense of humor. It's tough out there. You did not mention what field you were looking for work in. I do believe that our resumes must be honest but give us the best light that we can muster in so many words. I wish you much luck

I haven't written a resume in a long time. I probably wouldn't even remember how to do it without using the internet to give me some tips. I have worked for myself for so many years that I just haven't had to write a resume so that's why I have forgotten. And when I worked at the insurance company...I never had to give them a resume. They just came up to me and asked me if I would like the job because my mom's beauty shop was upstairs from their insurance office and they knew I liked doing office work so that's how I got that job.
