New Season Medium?

What do you think of the new season of Medium? I'm not happy that the show returned for a couple of episodes, then is to not be aired for three weeks. Its clear that the show will be done this year.
I would like to get a chance to see more of the changes to the show, but clearly NBC doesn't want the show to do well. They have more ads to promote their reality television shows.

I find it hard to believe that they would yank an Emmy winning show (at least the Lead Actress Emmy winner). Perhaps the writer's strike has affected this show as well. What is going to be on in its place? This week it was the State of the Union Address that cut into the NBC programming.
As for the storyline, they may have blown it by having Alison lose her job, and her husband too. AND the D.A. It kind of changed the whole show. But the DA is still appearing so perhaps things will go back to normal eventually. One can only hope... and write lots of emails to the network.

The ratings haven't been been great, which is a problem. Tonight the network is running Gladiators for 1 1/2 hours and then Deal or no Deal for 1 1/2 hours. Deal does better than many shows on the network, as Howie is well liked and people want to see what the ladies are wearing. Tonight there are 10 1 million cases, so I expect a lot of viewers. People want to see somebody win a million, as then they feel like they could win also.
I have been sending e-mails to the network, but don't think the show can be saved sadly. Thanks for the reply. I wish the show stood a chance to have more seasons.

Patricia Arquette is a great actress. I enjoying watching her entire family. This is one of the few shows I'll tape when I can't be home to see it. There could come a day that I don't turn on my television. Thanks for posting to a television discussion.

Don't forget there's a writers' strike still going on. Most shows will only show one new episode and then either show reruns or not show another episode for a few weeks. Television is greatly affected by this strike. Actually, thousands of people are affected. It's getting real tough. My son hasn't worked this year at all. He's not happy. Anyhow, a lot of the shows, unless written before the strike, will suffer this year. Shows like Medium might take a pretty bad fall and disappear altogether.

Medium is a mid-season and you know its in trouble when it takes a break and the show that takes its place does better in the ratings. I'm saddened that reality television and game shows are taking away many people's jobs. I think the strike is going to be over this week and hope your son is working again quickly. Thanks for the reply.

Fishma, you gotta remember that most of the Writers Guild is still on strike. They have very few episodes, so they have to stretch them out over a normal season. I hope the strike ends soon because if this mess affects Heroes I'm going on a rampage lol!

The problem with stretching Medium is the show was a mid-season show. We had 3 episodes for season 4, then no show until February 18th. I bet the ratings for February will be even lower, as fans move on to other activities.

Yeah, even with the writer's strike it isn't like we haven't seen this before. A perfectly good show shot down due to bad time slots and inconsistent new shows -_-. Might as well say goodbye to it now.
