Did you know that myspace has opened the doors to developers wishing to sign up to the upcoming Myspace Developer Platform?
To sign up the link is http://developer.myspace.com and the site is due to go live on February 5th and will provide APIs to allow developers to build and test applications in a live environment.
A myspace developer kick-off event and workshop at the company's new San Francisco offices will mark the launch next week. This move is widely seen as an attempt to catch up with rival social network "Facebook", which already has nearly 15,000 third-party applications and is a long way ahead. So what do you think is myspace playing catch up to facebook?

This is the first time that I have ever heard about this but I think that it is a really good idea to do something like that. I think that it is interesting and I am going to go check it out.
