Now when I don't have much money because I still study and I don't earn I think that even $600 per month would be good money. I have a frined who started working and her first paycheck is more than $1000. She is thrilled because she wasn't expecting so much considering the fact it's her first real job and she was living with $100 a monthj because she was living with her parents. Now she has $1050 a month and she thinks it's more than enough for her. I have another friend who's paychack is about $1500 and she's been working for some 2 years now and she always wanted more although she is in the same condition as the other frined living with her parents and all that. So what do you think would be enough money to live with and not complain? I know that's relative so that's why I am asking.

Well I say if you are living alone, dont have a girlfriend/boyfriend, in a good apartment or renting a house for not alot. Go out regulary with your friends and stuff every weekend, studieng... all that etc. etc. I think I would be happy with about 2500$ a month max. After paying rent, electricity, water and all that I will have more then enough money to go out with friends every weekend, maybe get some nice things online and then save the rest for a house and incase I get a girlfriend... But thats just a dream for now I am still looking for a job and just earning extra cash online while I study.

in my opinion.. there's no such thing as enough money.. but .. i have an expectation.. i hope i can achieve that.. i need to purchase certain things to fulfill my life requirements.. to the ones that would make me satisfied.. feel happy with life.. then i would say.. yeah.. i have enough money now.. but.. i do believe humans are greedy.. so.. they'll keep asking for more.. so.. i think i'm the same.. and i won't stop working to get more money.. haha.. sounds bad isn't it? just telling the fact.. thanks =)

I would love to have 1000 a month however right now I am a new mom with a three week old baby and having to live with my parents. I won't be able to work for a couple of months and even then I live in a small and I do mean small town where jobs are scarce. My last job had me working 15 hours a week and barely surviving. People say move but you need money to move. I am hoping to find some time to design t-shirts and sell them on cafepress but I don't think I will make my money goal. I envy those who do.

Hi, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new addition! I have twins myself... and when they were three weeks old they were so tiny... they are 20 months old now.. I cant believe how quickly the time has flown! But anyway, I just wanted to share an online business opportunity with you that you might be interested in pursuing when you have a little more time on your hands, just drop me a message and I'll let you know more!

Wow your friends do make alot of money....I think it's prob different amounts for different people(what they think is enough money to live off of)because one of my relatives make about 12 or 13 hundred dollars a month and they can't make them do that for the month and they dont have alot of bills....for myself i think that six or seven hundred dollars a month would be wonder for me to start making...if only I could find something on the internet that Icould do to make that kind of money than i would be really happy!

Hi, I read your post and saw that you were hopefully looking to find a potential Internet based job; I just wanted to share with you an opportunity that I came across, because I think it has one of the best financial payplans that I have ever come across. I don't know if it is something that you would consider doing, but it is a genuine opportunity to earn a second income without having to get a second job - but it is also not a get rich scheme either. Please send me a message if you would like more info. Thanks.

I am a student now.so,maybe my point seems a little childish.I think money isn't important but the state of mind. When you happy, little money is enough. On the contrary, many money can't make you satisfy.

Ahh that is the great question in life , but in a way there is no real answer, because you will ALWAYS want mre or NEED more. See my mom n law always says that if she could only make 2k a month that would be enough , and I told her no it wouldnt because if you wer making that much you would soon want 4k a month to make ends meet. No matter if people want to admit it or not they will always want more what we have will never be enough because life happens and raising 4 kids and running a small farm I know . You just have to learn to be happy with what you have and the blessings that are thrown your way ;) but the key thing to remeber in all of this is when you get some you must give some :) even if it hurts a bit, cause when ya really think about it , there is ALWAYS someone who has less than you ;) ~M~

We have a large family with 6 boys and my mother to take care of, so we need a lot more money than that. We need about $4,000 to take care of all of our bills, groceries, etc. And that is with very few extras.

Hi lorelai, That is a very good question, and I'm sure it would be different for different people. Your first friend is happy and I think that is wonderful. Your second friend might not be happy if she was making twice as much. It also depends on where you live and your needs, but it's important to be content and look for more when you need it. Blessings.

What a wonderful thing to discuss... how much is enough. Generally a person is never satisfied for we will always find more ways to gain and earn more. As we earn more and gain more money our wants will also elevate to higher level. So assuming that you are earning a certain amount of money and you are renting a house, the moment you earn a little more, you will now opt to buy a house and this goes for the thing we used like car, phone, clothes, etc. There is always this concept of wanting more. That in my opinion is the characteristic of every individual. Although there might be some exceptional few. So for me, how much is enough would always depend on your lifestyle, attitude and discipline. Eventually we always end up wanting more.

I could only guess, if you make enough to pay the bills and have the ability to buy some things you want, and not just things you need, that could be enough for someone to not complain. Could you see yourself being happy with $1,000,000 or $100,000 per year?
