Does anyone here still shoot film? If so what kind of camera do you use? I use a camera from the mid 80's. It still works like new. There's lots of great Film equipment for sale right now. How Does digital do on the second hand market? Has anyone bought or sold a second hand Digital camera?

I shoot and develop my own film for some things and use my digital for others. I enjoy getting my hands into developing my own stuff. I use Illford HP5. Not the greatest, but is rather cheap and has decent developing times.
Digital cameras lose there price quickly because there are always newer models popping up every year. Bigger megapixels, bigger LCD screens. You just can't stay on top of it all.

Do you think that working in a darkroom is a better experience than Just learning photoshop only?

Extremely. I learned photoshop before I did darkroom. But all the technical words used in the darkroom are reapplied to photoshop, to ease new traditional film users into it.
I personally enjoy developing my own stuff, then using a film scanner, scan in my photos to the computer and work on them. But that's mainly because enlarging and printing my own photos from film is my worst nightmare. I do it for a lot. But it's the one thing I hate the most.

I still prefer the film SLRs. It really show how good a photographer is. Not like with a digital camera, you'll see the outcome of the picture and re-shoot if you have to.One's creativity is more seen in a film shot.
There are second hand digital cameras in the market, but the quality is questionable. Knowing how sensitive an electronic gadget is it' s a gamble to buy second hand digital camera.

I like to use digital camaras, these days they have like 8megapixel digital cameras for sale which are probably damn expensive and damn good!
I dont think that buying a digital camara second hand would be a good idea, firstly because I dont think you will find a second hand camera that is good enough to take quality photos, unless you are just looking for a 2 - 5 mega pixel.
Secondly because most second hand cameras wouldnt work properly... Thats what I think, and also they are very expensive!

I think you are illustrating the point I was trying to make. That digital cameras don't hold their resale price and at the same time don't last as long as a comparable film camera.
