Yeah, I know the old saying goes, "Everybody talks about it, but no one does a thing about it." I'm talking about the weather, of course. I live in the midwestern United States, and the weather has been going through so many changes lately, you don't know what to take out to wear from one day to the next. Not to mention the fact that you have to constantly adjust your heating in your home. A couple of days ago we were looking at about 50*, and overnight we dropped down to about 14*. Now we have a winter storm warning forecast for tomorrow -and I have to go out in it! Well, I've had my rant on the weather, and as I pointed out to a neighbor yesterday morning -we still have about 2 more months to go of winter weather. Does the weather changing sometimes get on your nerves? I hate cold weather.

I don't mind cold weather, it is snow I hate.I am used to " wait a minute weather". If you don't like the weather, wait a minute it will change. We have had this type of winter for a few years.

I used to hope for snow storms so I could stay home from school. But now that I am out of school, I don't like it at all.

I have this philosophy, sarah, that the cold and snow are fine for those young enough to enjoy them, lol.

I am finding this winter to be very difficult, as I drive a little ways out of town to work, and the car takes forever to warm up, and I cannot see well in the dark, whine, whine, whine. Just listen to me!!! I have cold feet. Do you suppose we can think our way into springtime? We had weather at about 70, then did the big drop. It just makes it all seem worse. I do not mind the snow, if it looks pretty, then hurries up and goes away. If it is not so bitterly cold to go with it. Ten years ago we had over ten inches of snow in March, the third week. I know, because I was getting married and a lot of my future in laws were flying in. It melted fast though, because it was not so cold. I just thought I would join you in your winter rant.

This weather is indeed very hard on some of us, GG, and I can't wait for winter to be over. I find it much easier to cool down comfortably than to heat up. Congrats on your tenth!

hi! guys, I am new here and I am Chinese. Do you know what's happening in the southern part of China. The weather is crazy now.The snow storm has been lasting for two weeks and it will last long. All kinds of traffic are being blocked, especilally the expressway and the railway. At this time, millions of rural workers are going back home for the coming Spring Festival--the chinese lunar new year which is six days later. Many of them are stranded halfway, suffering cold and hunger for more than a week, becasue the road has been frozen. And more people are staying in railway station, waiting for the setout of the trains. Most of them have no place to live and nothing to eat. they have to stand under some shelters and are arranged to move into some empty halls nearby. Now the goverment are appealing citizens to donate their clothes and food for these people. Weather experts says such kind of weather has never been happening for eighty years. Although i live in the most southern part, the weather is also freezing cold with the lowest temperature of two or three degrees cetigrade.I wish the cold weather is ending soon.

That 49 would be considered a heatwave here in Ohio, Shaun, lol, but it's not so bad if you don't have to go out in it.

Same here. I live in Indiana and the weather has been crazy this year. It will go up to about 60 degrees and fall to 30 in a couple of hours. It will be sunny one minute and change over to cluds with rain and snow. We had torandoes in the area the other night and then it snowed right afterwards. It is very weird and scary.

I love this weather! Sorry, but I enjoy winter. This is my first winter home in Ohio after living in Arizona (another word for Hell) for 28 years. Day after day of nearly endless sun, heat and cloudless skies. It was so depressing--no, I'm serious! I hated it.
Hope the winter goes quickly for you. Stay warm!

I can see your point, dragon54u, about having too much of a good thing. My position would fall somewhere in the middle, lol.

We have more or less the same problem in the UK, yesterday the sun was out and it was a beautiful day I went out in a thin t shirt and jacket and I went for one of my long walks into the countryside and it was really pleasant. Today it was gale force winds and constant rain! The central heating was off yesterday we had to turn it back on again today because the temperature has plummeted. Yesterday was Spring today is Winter, so we get a mixture of seasons in just one month! I blame global warming and it can only get worst! Our Winters have become much more milder and we get much less snow like we used to, mind you that is a blessing.

The constantly changing weather does serve one purpose, wolfie, and that is to keep us on our toes. I guess we have to take the bitter along with the sweet.

Yes, the weather has been on my last nerve for 3 days. Today was the finale. We did get the snow you are expecting tomorrow. Suppose to end here sometime tomorrow and come right to your house..lol The prediction is between 4 and 11 inches depending on what part of Missouri it hits the hardest. Be careful tomorrow when you go out. Walking is almost as dangerous as driving.

I did manage to avoid some of the nastiest part of the weather, carolbee, and returned home just as it was starting to get bad again. I'll be sooo glad when winter is over.

I was just telling my granddaughter, who lives in Virginia where it is sunny and warm, winterose, that this is the first winter in awhile that I've had to turn on the heat in my bedroom.

Hi there worldwise...our weather has been wacky as well. I don't mind cold weather, but since it's supposed to be winter I wish the weather would stay consistent...like your area one day it could be near 50 or even warmer and next day it plunges down to the teens. One night I'm having hot flashes cause it's so warm trying to sleep and I have to kick off the heavy blanket, and the next night I'm bundled up like nanook of the north to stay warm. And don't ask how many times the weathermen predict the snow storm of the century and nothing happens. In fact it's supposed to be that tomorrow or Saturday...we'll see.

Don't you just love it when the weathermen are wrong, pyewacket? Every time they make those dire predictions I try to counteract through mind power, lol.

Hi the weather has been crazy everyplace. I am in Alberta Canada and we have reached record lows. It was so cold I kept my kids home from school and stayed in my warm house. When the news says skin can freeze in 5 min it is to cold to go out or have kids outside. It has been the worst winter and its not over yet.

I agree, gizmoshere. The weather can become too cold to go out if you don't absolutely need to. It's times like these that we appreciate having a warm, cozy place to take shelter in.

Yeah, I hate cold weather too, but at least we didn't get the snow that I heard some say we were going to get, just the ice on Friday morning which quickly turned to slush as the day went on...

Living inwestern Canada ive just about gotten used to any weather sings nature could through at you but this year is defintly one for the books. This past year the snow in my city (Vancouver) has come and go three times alrdy. In one case it snow about a foot and a half then with a day and a half it all melted. This as i said has happened three times this year and just recently it has been stickly around for a little longer and casuing quite the problems. Not only has it made it impossible to drive but walking even short distances doesnt seem to appealing eaither.

I am in total sympathy with those of you who must get out in the weather on a daily basis, Farside. I doubt that I could still do it.
