do they exist? I have told my other half that I have seen yellow roses and he doesn't believe me. I also remember as a very young girl seeing blue roses but I have never ever seen one since and am starting to think I must have made it up. Has anyone else seen yellow and/or blue roses and if so where?

Roses come in all color and shapes...
You are right.
Here a picture of a blue rose for you.

Blue Roses just do not exist, commercially speaking that is, however the first blue rose is on it's way as it has been grown by a bunch of mad Australian and Japanese Scientists. The lucky blighters have discovered the (holy grail of the rose world!)
So, until they are available to order (another 3-7 years we estimate) you will just have to make do with our specially selected white roses that are cut immaturely from the plant and cultivated in blue dye solution so that the blue can grow into the petals as well as the leaves and stems.

Wow! You know your stuff huh? So are you basically saying that anyone who has seen a blue rose has not actually seen a real blue rose but an artificially coloured one?! What about the other coloured roses? What is the original rose colour then? I am intrigued!!! Thanks for your response!

I used to have a yellow rose bush in my yard a long time ago. My mother also had a blue rose. It looked more like a pale lavender color to me than blue.

Thanks for your response and I think I would definitely have to agree with you! I still dont see either yellow or blue ones much but I am pretty sure the blue ones are rarer!

I have seen both yellow and blue roses. In fact I have some yellow ones in bloom now, but the blue ones seem to attract critters whereby I've only been able to get them to last a couple of seasons

How lovely! I bet they were really nice! Another person mentioned about having ivory and blue ones for their wedding - that must have been lovely too. Thanks for your response!

I've never seen or heard of blue roses, I'v seen yellow roses in a florist shop I don't remember which one. Sounds really nice yellow and blue roses, but I don't think they exist, that's my opinion.

Thank you very much for your response and I don't blame you for not thinking blue roses exist. I thought I must have dreamt it until I posted the question on here and others have said that they exist. I haven't seen any since I was a little girl but I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for them - just to show my husband and prove I am not mad if nothing else!!

Yellow roses definitely exist. I used to get them all the time when I was little and we'd visit the florist. I don't think I've ever seen a blue rose, though.

Thank you for your response. I would love to see either yellow or blue roses more often than I have been doing, i.e. never since I was young:-(

Yes I would have agreed with you until I read the comments of others who say that they have seen them. Makes me feel better in the knowledge that I wasn't dreaming the blue rose I saw!! Thank you for your response!

WOW! How lovely. I have only ever had boring red, pink or white ones in my gardens - I would love to have something a little more 'exotic'! Thanks for your post!

Thanks for your reply. I vaguely remember seeing a blue one when I was much younger but was doubting it after speaking to my husband but now with so many other 'witnesses' I can safely say that I am not crazy and have seen blue roses too!!

blue roses exists! i love them and i have seen blue roses. Holland Tulips shop sells blue roses for around Php260 each...
i think some blue roses are artificially colored, while others, blue pigment chemicals have been added/introduced to the rose while it's still young or growing...
