It is very difficult to explain my situation but I will try my very best.
here goes: I have been a Christian for almost a year now and I am having a hard time continuing my faith. Being a teen-ager is difficult, being a Christian is difficult, but being being a teen-ager Christian is very difficult. There are a lot of temptations, a lot of doubts, a lot of stumbling moments and such. My parents are both non-Christian and I live in a very non-Christian environment. How can I sustain my faith? How can I make the passion and fire burning for the Lord. It has been very difficult - very difficult indeed. At times I feel like I don't deserve to be a Christian because of these things that I am experiencing.
I really need some advice. and some prayers. will you pray for me?

Absolutely I'm praying for ya. As long as you have your faith, as bad as it sounds, it doesn't matter if your parents are non-Christians. You're right, being a teenager is difficult, but no matter what age you are, you're constantly being tempted. All I can say is pray to God whenever you need to, and ask Him to give you strength. Pray for your parents too, pray that God will make His presence known to them. You need people in your life that share your faith and values. I wish you luck.

I am sometimes afraid to show my parents my faith because of fear that they will criticize me. I guess I should let Jesus' light shine over them through me and not suppress it. Thank you for your advice. God bless!!!

If you don't feel comfotable discussing it with your parents, don't. Just be you, you don't have to hide who you are just because the other person is uncomfortable. As a teenager you have enough on your plate already. It will work itself out. Just pray. God Bless.

I will most definitely pray for you my christian friend. I know it is extremely difficult to be a christian teen. Especially if you are living in a non-christian environment. Which by the way I want to give you my respect and admiration. As a teen i fumbled as a christian, left the church because I was too weak to stand up for what I believed in. I just followed the crowd. As for advice, I can say this...don't listen to others. You do what is in your heart and mind. Read your bible every day. Study passages that will encourage you and keep you strong. The more you surround yourself with God's love, the less temptation you will find. At least that has been my experience in the past. Hope that helps!

I will definitely be praying for you. I know it's difficult, especially when your parents aren't saved and your still young, but you can do this. You just need to have faith in the Lord. Get involved in a church where you can be around other Christians that can help you through this. Who knows, maybe through your changes your parents will see this change and become Christians themselves. God works in mysterious ways and He may be using you to witness to your parents. Hang in there and pray a lot. I'll be praying for you too. God bless

Thank you! I am really praying for my parents. Especially my sister since she is starting to become a teen-ager and I want her to be in the Lord. I hope you can overcome your obstacles too. I read one of your posts :)
God Bless!

i would like to commend you for being a brave soul. you were able to accept this truth in your life. and the fact that you feel unworthy makes u even more loved by Christ. everybody is not worthy of Christ's love. But he loves us anyway. I will be praying for you. Temptations just tells you that you are human. Christ himself had his fair share of temptations. And lastly --- i agree with you -- "i hate hello kitty" too!

Take you for commending me! One of the things that I really learned from God is that in order to improve myself, I must admit that I am weak and that I need Him. Thank you so much for your prayers. God bless you!
P.S. hehehe I just think that it's creepy that hellokitty does not have a neck *sheepish grin*

I will pray for you kitty......I think I can begin to understand how you might feel. Living in the condition you describe can't be easy for anyone - and I'm sorry you have to go through it.
You're right, being a teenager is difficult. Being a Christian is difficult at times too. So how do you continue in your faith? Think about this...
If you follow the desires of your heart and feed the passion and fire for the Lord, you just might be the only glimpse of Jesus your parents ever see (as you stated they were both non-Christian).
It's sad that they don't understand the gift in you, as a child, and while it might be difficult, if I were you, I would try to find other Christian support, maybe at church or a youth group.
The most important thing is to be who you believe you are, in Christ. It's not a very popular decision but will be the best thing for you in the long run.
Study of the word is good too.
I wish you all the best, and will be praying for you.

Dear Friend,
I do understand your problem, i will tell you something, God has Given us the free will to choose what we want,
It is a commom thng that when we get closser to god, the devil will never like us to get closser to him, coz he is losing one member from his side,
you see all we have to do is pray & keep praying
as James 4:7 says Resist the devil & he will flee from you, phil:4:13 says i can do all things through christ who strengthen me,
so be happy that god will give you the strength to fce the world,
God himself had temptation, & he resisted the devil & he always wants us to be aware of the devil & temptations that comes around us,
ignore everything & when the temptations knows that you are very content with god, & you are not shakable . it will flee from you,
see it is something like this, when you turn to god, he wipes all your sin & keeps your heart clean, (when a plant is being uprooted that place becomes hollow, & empty, so we must always keep the empty place filled with something strong,
like wise when all the evil from us is being uprooted & we give ourself to god, the heart is empty with all the things that we were doing against god, & we must make God the center of our heart, strong so that nothing will comeback again,
when we do this with christ is it easer coz he will uprot all our sins with his mercy & grace & with healing, so that you will not fall into temptation again
kindly read romans 8:14, , isaiah 41:13, god says for i am the lord your god who takes hold of your right hand & says to you do not fear i will help you.. trust in hin & see that he will guide you in all the ways he wants you to go,
make the Lord the shield around you & he will help you,
