This morning on the way to work, I heard that Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. I like Yahoo as well as Google and Ask (they each have their pluses and minuses), but I know Yahoo has been struggling lately. I guess buying it could give it a bit of a boost, but if it becomes part of the Microsoft Juggernaut it might lose its identity. Also, I'm wondering if Microsoft is planning to keep Yahoo's email free, or will it become something that has to have a paid-for Microsoft license in order to work?
Of course, the report only said the Microsoft WANTS to buy Yahoo, not that it WILL buy Yahoo.
What do you think?

i hate it when a giant company buys a small company. although yahoo may not be that small, but comparing it with microsoft, it dwarfs in comparison. i wish yahoo retains its "identity" and innovative features. i am using messenger and yahoomail for the past 5 years. and i intend to keep them if yahoo does not change much after the buyout.
