How I made 18 cents on Mylot

So I wanted to try and figure out the Mylot system. Yesterday I took note of how much I had made and then kept track of all the responses I did, tags I put on, pictures I uploaded, discussions I started. Here is what I did yesterday:
I started 4 discussions.
#1 got 4 responses I put 4 tags on the discussion
#2 got 7 responses I uploaded picture with 4 tags, discussion had 5 tags
#3 got 1 response, picture with 3 tags, discussion had 5 tags
#4 got none - just put it on before my earnings were upgraded, pictures with 4 tags, discussion 5 tags
I did 12 responses to existing discussions. And tagged every single one. My total tags were = 41
18 cents seems kinda low for all of that work doesn't it?
All of my responses were longer than 4 lines. So shouldn't I have gotten 1 cent each? There's 12 cents right there. And someone told me you get extra participation points for adding tags. Apparently you don't.
Then I started 4 discussions and got 12 responses in total. So I am guessing I get 1 cent per response depending on the length of response perhaps?
What do you think?

Is that true? I mean we could get extra points for adding tags? I heard it for the first time.
Usually I tagged the discussions or responses at will.
But I heard that we get more cents regarding the lenghth and quality of discussions and responses we started.So if you have any problem with the mylot earnings,I suggest your asking the experienced mylot members.

i have tried it before and the consequence was disappointed me.like today,i post about 4 response and 1 discussion,but i got zero,i dont know what's going on,i am not sure if i have enthusiasm for stay here!!!

Hi rookiekan,
It took about 24 hours before my account was updated and showed how much I had made the day before. And sometimes they don't pay the whole amount, I just figured that out. So it's very difficult to figure out the payment system. Just keep making discussions and doing responses! Oh! and upload pictures you get payment for those too!

I have been on Mylot for over a year. For me personally the site provides me with internet friends and I have learned a lot about different things. As far as the earnings are concerned we don't know exactly how they are determined. Mylot uses an algorithm so you can never actually predetermine how much your earnings will be. Sometimes they go up a little, sometimes down. Mylot also does a clean up from time to time, removing discussions and responses that do not fit their guidelines. They affect the earnings since if a discussion is removed your answer is also removed, thus your earnings. There is also the issue of quality. You or I might think a particular discussion or answer is of good quality but the admin might have a different opinion and since they run the forum they decide. So to make a long answer shorter, I don't think one can make a lot of money on Mylot. If we use the forum for our enjoyment and pleasure, the pennies that we get are like the icing on a cake.

The mylot pay system is a mystery to all members... only the mylot admin knows the algorithm and they specifically stated in the do's and dont's that... most of the time...i noticed that the whole pay is not carried directly the following day... so we have to wait for like two days to see the exact amount of pay that we will receive...
The number of responses we get for a particular discussin doesn't affect the pay but if you comment on each with quality... then that is another cent...

Thanks for your response. By your number next to your name you've been around for awhile! I just noticed that the whole pay doesn't carry either. When I posted this I said I only made 18 cents, but then a few hours later there was another update on my earnings and it put me about 40 cents made. So that was worth all the effort for sure. So keep on posting guys! I still haven't had any confirmation that tagging makes more money.
What do you mean if you comment on each with quality then that is another cent? Comment on what?

Oh okay I thought that's what you meant. I started replying to all the responses just to keep the discussion going, but then I noticed my earnings going up really fast...so I think you are right and it really does make a difference to go quality posts to your responses to a discussion you have started for sure! Thanks for much for writing back!

I tried doing the same things a couple of time...usually when I'm bored...lol..and I couldn't figure it out. Since there are times that our responses are deleted because the discussion is deleted and we have no way of knowing that I think that makes it harder to figure it out.

I don't think it always follow, and I must say it will depend on the quality of every discussion we started. Me, I got 18 responses the other day, and I gain 22 cents. On my first day here, I gain 8 cents when in fact I have many post that day.
So it will really vary depending on the quality of posts. If all your post just talks about, money making site and you includes sites, you will not earn money of that posts, I have already observed that.
So one should stop posting referral links and should be serious in posting. Rating members responses and adding photo to your discussion will help us earn money.

I commend you on your hard work but 18cent is sad for all that work! That's why I haven't been here for a while...it's fun but I couldn't really see the money building up for my involvement. ( Check my profile if you want to learn of some goog money-making recommendations that I've discovered).

Whew! That sure *does* sound like a lot for such a small amount. I'm still completely baffled by the whole issue of how much you get for what.
I went AWOL for quite some time and lost the whole 32 or whatever cents I made from my last go-round of posts. Since I've been back, my banner day was worth a whoppin' 12 cents. UGH! I really try to always do quality posts that are pretty beefy and that I actually put thought into. Some of my responses have been reeeeeally long, but it still seems like I'm only getting one cent per. I guess I'm in the 'cornfuzzled' bunch too.

Wow, good for you!!! I uploaded a ton of pictures today. I just got a new video camera, so I'm having fun "capturing" images from my own videos, and uploading them here. It's AMAZING how many images you can get from one video. I have made most of my money that way, since I got the camera.

I am a jackaroo^_^, and I don't know the mylot system very clearly. After reading your disscussion I know I wouldn't get a cent if my response shorter than 4 lines or without tags^_^.
Now, I have no idea to help you settle your quesion, and I response your disscussion only to say thanks.:)

I have not tried that, but it seems like a good idea. I might get too discouraged and quit!! :) Well atleast it is a good site to not make enough money on. Good luck!
