Do you feel like cleaning is a never ending story?

I would deffinatly say the kitchen is the worst...its never clean no matter how much I clean it. I live with my parents and 2 brothers and my mom is sick a lot so the cleaning is pretty much completly up to me because you can just forget about men cleaning a kitchen. And If i asked them too they would probably do it but they all work very hard everyday so I just dont have the heart to ask them to help me with it. I feel like its sorta my responsibilty . But still I know how you feel about it being never ending.

It definately feels like a very thankless job. As soon as you are done with one project you need to move to the next wile they clean spots sit and get dirty again. Sometimes I feel like I am stuck in Groundhog day.

I've had big houses and also small houses. I thought it would make a difference, but it never did. It was work work work if I wanted everything to look decent. The big houses take more time and the small houses have space that gets used more. I vote for the kitchen as the worst room. I can go into the kitchen any time of the day and find something out of place, dirty, or whatever. My husband and son have a different perspective on what getting the job done in kitchen means I guess.

Well I have two boys ages 6 and 3. So possibly needless to say I should clean the bathroom every day, but I don't. The next time they use it one of them pees outside the bowl, somehow. It drives me nuts. I wish we just had a power washer in the bathroom. That would make cleaning much easier.

Which room? It's a toss-up between the kitchen and the bathroom. Just when all the dishes are done, it's time too prepare another meal. But that's a fact of life, so I don't sweat it, I just try to stay fairly well organized and one step ahead of the dishes by washing or loading the dishwasher as I go, rather than letting dirty dishes or utensils stack up. I love my kitchen, so I try to keep it clean and neat. As for the bathroom, I'm not as good at keeping up with that. Just doing a quick spray and wipe of the sink every evening would help me start my day more pleasantly, I suppose. Don't know why I have such a rough time with that. Guess I don't love the bathroom as much as I love the kitchen.

The living room is the place where I feel like I always cleaned over and over again. No wonder about it because I belong to a family with I have 2 sisters and 3 teenage brothers who doesn't mind if the house is clean or not. Sometimes I got really angry because they are very inconsiderate sometimes. I just cleaned it and after an hour, it's a mess again. It's really hard to have a big family especially if most of them are boys.

Hello ebsharer. Yes, I feel like cleaning is a never-ending story because each time I clean my apartment, then it won't be long before I make is a mess again and restart to clean it by putting the stuff I put in a good order till I am satisfied with.

The kitchen in my house, while not real big is one room that seems to need to be done over and over again. I find myself doing dishes a lot. I hardly ever like to see dishes in my sink. It seems like you can never catch a break from cleaning. As homemakers our work is probably never done. So each day we get up and start all over again.
