Just wanted to let you know that my husband left today to return to Iraq. I am very sad and miss him already, but amazingly no tears. I misted up a bit but that was it. I guess I am getting used to it by now. I hope he makes it back ok and makes it through this deployment ok. I really hated to see him leave. We had such a good time when he was home. I will be on more often of course!

Thanks! that was vry nice of you to say! I feel the same way. I know he and his guys are making sacrifices that I don't know that I myself could make. It takes men of great heart and soul to do that. But with supportive people like you, it keeps us back home going and able to stay strong while waiting!

I am very proud of him for all he sacrifices! I hope that he will be returning home soon and safely. His job is quite dangerous and I hate that he has to do it. Thanks for the support.

That is sad news! I know you had a great time while he was here. It really bites that when we are having a great time, the time flies by so fast. Keep yourself busy and these days that he is over there will fly by as well. Before you know it, you will be picking him up from the airport again. My prayers will be with you and him!

Hi mamasan, I am sorry to hear that he had to go back, I know how you feel, my sister is in the US Air Force and she has been sent back there many times already and it's very stressful for everyone. I hope all this ends soon. Stay strong.

Oh no! That's so sad :( I'm sorry. But you gotta remember you aren't in this alone! So many people know someone in the army, and we all understand how hard it is :(
i hope he makes it back okay too! Thank you to him, for doing what he does for us. And thank you, to you, for supporting him and helping him through it.

I am sorry to have seen him leave today, but I am glad that we only have 6 months or so left. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for us now.

I almost didn't respond to your post. It made me feel so sad to read it. When my son was in the service, it was the most anxious time I ever spent in my life. Our other son joined before this war and it didn't seem so bad back then. This big war wasn't going on and he wasn't deployed.
It sounds like you have such a good attitude and cope well. I trust there is a good support group for you where you are? Good luck.

I don't want to make anyone sad! It must be hard to be a mother of someone in the military. I know being a wife is hard, but being a mother has to be difficult to. I can imagine your worry when your son was in the military. Thanks for the compliments and support. I do have a good support system here and it does help!

He will be gone until sometime in September of this year. My daughter is ok with him being gone. She misses him, but I think she is becoming accustomed to him being gone as well. I haven't heard from him yet, but I am sure he is ok. thanks for the support!

Yes, he was only home for 3 weeks on leave. He had to go back and finish out his tour over there. He comes home in September for good. I did have a wonderful time with him and those memories will carry me through until we see each other again. Thanks for the support!

Because he is on a 15 month tour, he got three weeks this time. It was pretty quick. I can't believe he is already gone. But I think that this 6 or 7 months will go by quickly. I mean it is already February! he will be home in September. I can't wait!
