Will you sell your old PC or will you give it to someone ?

When I do update my computer I will probably give my old one to my son so he can learn how to use and become computer literate for when he starts school. He has already participated in one discussion on here (he is only three) when he woke up one night and asked me if he could type a message bless. He got two responses so he didn't do too bad!

I will sell it. If I can't sell it then I will give it away to who ever wants it.

why sell your old computer when for a couple hundred dollars you can refurbish it to be like new with more modern hardware, i refurbish old computers all the time for people, its my job, some people cant afford to buy a new computer for 1600 but can afford 1 of my refurbished comps that cost around 500, i just finished refurbishing my cousins hp and it only cost me 350 for mb and processor upgrade to core 2 duo,then i included a sata 500gig hardrive and 2 gig of ram, that gave him the equivelent of a 1600 dollar computer for around 500 dollars

i think sell it is a good choose,in my opinion,i couldn't give someone is a old pc,if i wanna give,i will give a new one.

I will give my PC to a family member, if they want it. However, I will completely overwrite the hard disk first as I have used it for on-line banking etc. It is very old, so if the family do not want it, I shall offer it to a local charity. I hate the idea that it could just be thrown away.

as for me..maybe i'll give it away to the people i know...such as my cousins, because the pc to me it has very much memories...hmmm more like have sentimental value to me..so if i give it away to someone i know n someone i could trust..i know my pc will be safe ..or maybe i'll just keep it..hmm

I will let my young sister use it - you know, kids are kinda... Destructive ;) So it would be much safer if she learn on old desktop, one that you can afford to get damaged or something.

i wont sell it. There are many things u can make best out the waste... 1. The older computer can be used only for chatting on IM's with friendz. As chatting is normally fast and the hardware configuration of ur old computer iss not that important while chatting.Less resourses are used while chatting. 2. U can even use it for making telephone/internet calls, recieving fax,c/c++ programming. 3. If u sell ur old computer now , it wont earn much for u, as the quality should have gone down. And a better computer migt be available in the market for the same price u r offerring ur comp for sale.... 4.if something hapens to ur new pc, then u have got a back Uppp. Hence i wont sell my old comp to anybody.

I will of course try to sell my computer before I give it away. I mean if the computer is really old then I can understand but now a days, if you want to sell your old windows vista or xp computer you will get a offer for it im sure...
