I have always LOVED LOVED LOVED shoes! I never spent more than $20 a pair but would always watch the sales and buy several at a time(for even less). I had alot of shoes! Well, lot of years later and I have gone through my shoes so I am trying to find new ones. I watch the TV ads for Payless Show Source - they show some of the neatest, cutest shoes and of course, always on sale. HOWEVER..I go to the store and of course the ones they showed on TV are not in the store! IT is so aggrivating. How do you find shoes you like?
Although I do have to brag - red shoes have been my most favorite. Only had one pair in my whole life of 50 years that was the perfect red shoe, and that was about 20 years ago and I literally wore it out - literally, couldn't glue, sew or color it anymore. Broke my heart to throw them away! Anyway, I was in JC pennys the other day, looking for purses - and found nothing! But happened to walk over to theo ther side of the store and saw the shoes - 75% off. I have been looking for a good comfortable loafer style shoe to wear instead of sneakers. I glanced at the sale racks and low and behold my eyes were drawn to the most beautiful red shoes EVER!! Well, not as beautiful as the ones 20 years ago, the strap is a stable strap over my foot instead of being a buckle at the ankle which would make it 100% the perfect shoe, but I'll take 98% perefct! I grabbed them - $30 but I did have a 15% off coupon and my kids just gave me a gift card for my birthday so I bought myself the best red shoes ever!! Okay, that just boiled up in me to brag about!

Happy Birthday, coffeebreak! Believe it or not, I've found the cutest shoes at Wal-Mart - and I've even had good success at yard sales. In fact, I actually found a red pair at a yard sale this past summer and bought them right up. I've worn them once, but I should wear them more, especially this month (February, heart month, Valentine's day). Since I pay less from those two places, I can have more shoes!

Usually I buy at Target and Walmart or Payless too. Need a pair of comfortable every day shoes instead of sneakers. Wonder how long it will take me to find them!

Wooo, sounds really pretty! Mine are loafer-type slip-ons/mules with a thick sole. By the way, I didn't tell your secret. You did - the gift card for your birthday, you said. (Assuming the birthday was your secret.)

I love shoes too! Unfortunately, I'm very picky about what kind of shoes I wear and finding the perfect shoes can prove to be a daunting task for me. Most of the time I look online at stores like www.electriqueboutique.com (they have a TON of shoes, boots and heels) and of course, my favorite online shopping place, www.amazon.com. I think I'm more into wedge heels and stylish boots. I never really had a thing for sneakers. My latest problem, is that my day-to-day shoes have worn out and I need to find some shoes I can wear everyday. Unfortunately, I'll have to use the worn out ones for a while more! Gotta save up some! I'd rather spend a little extra on shoes I like, than spend a little less on shoes I hate!

Only things I am "picky" about is NO pointed toes - how stupid is pointed toes! I mean, you know there is no toe in that space, it just sticks out for an inch or two - and makes the show look stupid - okay, just my oponion, but absolytely no pointed toe. So round toes for me, plus they are more comfortable. your toes don't extend into a pointed fashion, but they do to a rounded fashion.
And NO Open toe. for sandles to the beach or around the house and such, okay, although I still wont' wear them, but dressy shoes and to parties, work etc... how unprefessional to have nice outfit, and no nylons and nothing but bare legs and toes sticking out. All these celb's that is all they wear and it just looks hidious to see them dressed to the hilt and then all but bare foot.
Only other questionable - pumps. I wasn't partial to them, when they came out aftera long run with round toe, but once needing shoes, i had to take pumps or go barefoot, so they kind of grew on me. Other than that, I'll take them all!!!

I was doing an open house about 2 months ago and a woman walked in, alone.......her shoes were to die for! I admired them, let her walk through the house. As she was leaving, I just had to ask...........where did you get your shoes? I love them!!!!!!! Italy she replied.....Like I'm going to hop a plane and fly to Italy to buy those shoes, but when I got home, I went online and was on shoe.com forever looking for those shoes! Or, any shoe that looked remotely close to them...Alas, no luck!

I buy pretty much all of my shoes off eBay. If I see a pair I like in a shop, I go right home and look for them on eBay, they're usually so much cheaper there so I save loads!
A month or two ago I bought some lovely shiny silver flats that I saw for £20 somewhere, for about £7. Last week I bought some gorgeous Sugar boots for £16, and they sell in shops for around £30. Even though they have a few marks on them, I know it's nothing I wouldn't do to them myself with time, so it doesn't bother me.
My Mum always says she will never buy me shoes off the internet because 'what if they're the wrong size?!' but I've bought about three pairs off eBay recently, and they all fit fine.
It's also very exciting when I get a big parcel in the post!

Well. it is probably best that it is manditory I HAVE to try on shoes before buying. I'd go broke if I could just buy online! - my size doesn't change but the style and make of the shoe always does. I could never buy on line. My daughter does occassionally but I couldn't. These red ones are a 6 1/2. and a tad to big! At the same time, I also boought a pair of a loafer style shoe with a 3 inch heel - 6 1/2, and they are to small! But you got a good system going there!
