Do you think that the future shown after Hurley was rescued from the Lost

Island was the real future that would have happened if that helicopter did take them off or was in an alternative future? Or do you believe that Hurley just had a premonition? I was thinking of the last episode where Jack was in the future and wished he was back on the Island and from there, we knew that Locke was still there. And that they regretted having left.

But then Hurley apoligised to Jack for choosing to go with Locke but somehow wound up off the island with Jack. Also, there's a clue about the "looking glass" theory. Has something to do with "Alice in Wonderland." Having said all that . . . I am Sooooo confused!!!!! Lol.

I read Alice in the Looking Glass, I will have to compare the future Jack with the Island Jack to see if he parts his hair on the opposite side.

LOST is my favorite program. I was so eager to view this episode. When it was over there were more questions floating in my head. I can't wait for future episodes. I hope that some of the questions get answered. But, then again, will they ever truly be fully answered?

I have no idea what is going on, whether some will be rescued and the rest left behind. I also wonder if what they showed was an alternative future depending on them being rescued now.

I agree, this episode just made me more confused than before. But that is one of the things that makes this show so interesting. I can't wait for future episodes either.

Lost is the only show we watch on ABC, because for some reason ABC is not that good on speculative or science fiction, they all wind up getting canceled. There was Invasion last year and back in 1998 there was that series Prey that only lasted one season and that was on a cliffhanger. It would have been quite good if that NBC show had not stolen the actress to put their political correctness view across. As you can see, I am not an NBC fan, I like CBS.

It's quite good. It's on ABC and it is very addictive.

Its hard to say, but I think its a dream. Why would they leave a pregnant woman on the island? We didn't see her off the island and Jack didn't see her off the island. This show just keeps getting stranger and sure hope we get some reasonable answers soon. There is no way a good doctor would take Hugo first off the island.

I have no idea what is going on. It could be that only a few leave, but it also could be that the show does not end there, but that they do return.

I think it's the real future - because it somewhat corresponds with the future experienced by Jack and Kate as shown in the season 3 finale. I think the season four premier scenes between Jack and Hurley happened before the season three season finale scenes with Jack and Kate (hope that made sense). Because in the season four episode, Jack still looks like his life is together, he's clean shaven, he's practicing medicine, etc. He says "he's thinking of growing a beard". Then, in the season three show Jack's life has proceeded to spiral out of control, he has a scruffy beard, and he becomes obsessed with getting back to the island. How do we know that Locke is still alive on the island? I must have missed something...

I do not know if it is real or not, it could be what might have happened, but then I learned that Fox is in the movie, "Vantage Point", he had to be on that set for some time and since he would not be on the Island, that would be explained by those flash forwards. We have to find out if the actors who play Kate and Hugo(Hurley) have commitments for some time or are in a movie. If that is for a short period, we will have them and the other three return to the Island. It all depends on whenever Lost Season Four's filming crashed with the filming of "Vantage Point."

I'm not sure what Fox being in Vantage Point has to do with the plot of Lost? Fox filmed Vantage Point and another movie during the hiatus of Lost (they were off for six or eight months between season three and four). Now he's back on the set of Lost. The two have nothing to do with each other.

I think that the future shown with both Jack and Hurley was the real future. But I don't think them getting off the Island in the future was the end of the show. I think there is more story after the scenes they've shown us from the future. Great premiere by the way.

I think it is an alternative future and as the season develops, we will see a different future depending on what happens on the iSLAND.
