This one is, specifically, for all you out there who are: Pro "Capital-Punishment".
:-(
Pathologist Dr. Charles Smith pleads for forgiveness, from a man who was WRONGFULLY imprisoned for TWELVE + 12 + YEARS.
Mullins-Johnson served time he was CONVICTED of MURDERING his 4 years-old niece, while babysitting her in 1993, after Smith suggested the girl had been SUFFOCATED and SEXUALLY ASSAULTED.
The conviction was quashed last year (14 years later/to late) after the EXPERT-evidence was dismissed as UNRELIABLE.
A review found the child died "inexplicably", was NOT sexually assaulted, and was NOT a victim of a homoside.
"I forgive you, but I'll never forget what you did to me. You put me in an environment, every day, where I could have been killed for something I did NOT do...
You DESTROYED my family.
They HATE me 'cause of what you did."
:-(
What more could be said???
YES,
He is still alive!
Thanks G~D he did NOT get the Death-Penalty/Capital-Punishment, back than.
Are we to claim COLLECTIVE-Punishment,
While we ERR?

It does not look like you are going to get any Pro capital punishment types to respond to this post. It is very sad when someone makes such a serious mistake as this and destroys lives. This man and the other eight were very lucky that it was discovered that the evidence was wrong or tampered with. Another reason to abolish capital punishment.

I don't know Lion, the Americans have very short memories. They were there when the camps were liberated and they seem to have forgotten very quickly and they did not impress the horror on their children. The Americans suffered privation during both world wars and yet they think that they should not give up anything to fight the terrorists now. They think that they should just magically go away. No one seems to understand that this is a much dirtier war than any other war ever fought.
So, how can you get them to worry about one or two people that might get "accidentally" killed, because the evidence was "wrong". We live in a very "Me" oriented world. Not too many people think of the "other guy".
Thanks for Best Response Lionpuppyheart.

MyLot total membership, world-wide, is: 119,172+, of which Americans are 25.4% (30,202+), and 27,216+ are from India, making another 22.7%.
48.2% of members are than from these two countries alone.
Almost half!
I wont be surprise, to see that: only out of these two countries, alone; AMERICANS are the VAST majority.
should we tally other countries, for their member's nationalities, it would be ineresting to find-out; what slice of the total members, Americans hold?...
Therefore, it does NOT surprise me of this ONE-sided SHALLOW outlook & responces we get to read.
"Everyone in MyLot is wearing the same pair-of-glasses, thru which they see the world."
It's the "American-way" of seeing things...
Why should they impress their children with/of the Historical-Horrors, of the world?
Making Money is MUCH more inmportant...
As for the History that took place than during world-War 2, they only stoped dancing the "Charleston" 7 got into the war only when Japan came knocking on their doors, NOT before.
Why should they?
It was not their buisness/affair...
The Horrors and Sufferings, took place far away, to other nations and pepole!
The same goes for the current terrorist's affairs ~ ONLY after 9/11...
I suppose it will take many Oceans to was a shore, before Americans will be educated to use thier heart & soul...
