Do you believe in witches?

Yes David, there are witches in the world. I have been a practicing witch for 41 years. What you see on the television is purely for entertainment and it is not fact. We are not monsters and we don't sacrifice or eat living flesh. You'd be surprised by what people think we do and some of the questions I've been asked. During the burning times, most witches where healers and were turned in because a healing didn't work the way it was suppose to. The one think that all witches do abide by, if they are true witches is, Harm None. And contrary to popular belief, we do believe in the Lord but we also believe in the Lady. Very recently a bill was passed in the UK to pardon all those that were burnt as witches those many years ago.

First off I love charmed and i believe their are witches and physics on earth but i also don't believe they have the type of powers the girls on charmed have.

i beleive in witches...but i also beileve that there are just human who can chant spells but nothing happens.

Yes, like JudithP says, there are witches in the world, but they are not like stereotypical witches with tall black hats and broomsticks, or like the Charmed ones with special powers. They follow the wiccan religion and they live in harmony with the earth and believe in male and female gods. They light candles and have their own traditions like any other religion. They are sometime healers, and true wiccans are very peaceful people. A lot of their beliefs are similar to my own so I'm very interested in this religion, although I don't practice the traditions or know enough about it to call myself a wiccan.

I think the type of witches you are speaking of are the ones glorified in the movies and in Charmed. Witches celebrate life and the Earth. They can do spells but not often. Celebrate the harvest and the seasons. Think more down to Earth and you've got it.

First of all, yes, I do believe in witches, but probably not the kind you think of when you hear the word witches. Second of all, it's Charmed, not charm, and it's a series, they aren't movies. If there were witches like them, there's no doubt in my mind that they would've been discovered by now, because you cannot get away with so many murder suspections as easily as they do in the show. Sooner or later, someone would've found out and told police, or whoever. I do however believe that there are witches that can control the elements, and astral project. Astral projection is the use of your spiritual mind to make yourself appear in another "realm" or "plain" if you will. And by controlling the elements, I mean being able to use telekinesis, but only to a limit. I don't mean telekinesis like Prue, but telekinesis like moving small objects related to your element. By the way, when I said astral projection I didn't mean you can do it whenever and wherever you want. It takes a lot of meditation, and time. Sometimes you can't control where you go either. Sometimes your body just goes to a random place that your mind can recall, even if you've never seen it, or been there.

Yes, I do believe in witch craft. But I do not believe in black magic and the devil.

I do believe in witches, they are different among the others. I think they can do things but not like in charm.

I think that there are really witches. They are the ones who are performing voodoo, they can perform healing and some other stuff but i don't think that there is someone who can do the things like THE CHARMED ONES did one the TV series. Well, maybe satan can do that.... (im wondering!!!). I also tried spell casting before and after 2 months it happened. I don't know!!! Was that my spell or God granted my request because i also asked God to help me? Anyway, I thanked God for it and i did not cast another spell anymore since that day.

Witches does not exist per se, they are called Wiccans and are pagans. Yes, some can call the elements and nature to aid them in their spells, but Charmed is not realistic. I absolutely love the show, but no, I do not believe a true witch/wiccan can do the things that you see in Charmed.

Sure, there are witches. They mainly hunt, garden to suppport their families and follow the laws, "Do what ye will, yet do no harm." (That means to themselves or anyone else around.) But can they wave a wand and do magick or anything? Nonsense. They are just people like you are. They mainly are around to help out the environment, recycle, feed teir kids like you would and..just live a simple life. No harm! They still follow the 10 Commandments, as these were passed to Moses before the time Jesus happened to be born for ALL people to follow . (I know..that one usually suprises people..yet it is the way it is?) They may pray in a different way by lighting candles, but all still pray to the same main God. And if someone is sick they come together and light a candle and try to send out healing energies. But..you probably have sopokeb to one wihtout knowing their beliefs..and probably evevn liked them! They are harmless and nice enough.

I do not believe in witches personally, but there are many people that do. Some people even claim to be witches, and who knows? Personally, I believe in miracles and wonderful happening, but not magic. Magic and witches goes back a long way, and there are many different people who both believe in and oppose it.

I believe there are witches in this world but they are kept secret by a bigger organisation.
