Was it at a store that sold jewelry, accessories? You got help from a friend? Or did you do it yourself?
I just happen to get an ear pierced by myself during my third year at high school at our class room while it was break time ^_^
How about you?

My aunt did my ears when I was little, with Ice and a potato. The ice to numb them and she put the friggin potato behind my ear so the needle wouldn't go through my head. Sounds weird, but it's a true story.

It would be a totally different level if your head got pierced ^_^;
Well, that's something common to hear at our place and playing it safe is not a bad thing to do ^_^ Aside from potatoes, they use carrots or whatever root crop that is available.
Thanks for sharing your true story ^_^

I remeber my mum took me to the jelery department at my seventh birthday and that's how I got my ears pierced. I was still little child then but I was very happy about it and it didn't hurt at all. I couldn't pierce my ears myself with an idle._. But with the special pistol it's not a big deal:P

I was in 5th grade and my uncle and his girlfriend took me to a department store with a jewelry department and got them pierced. Boy was my mom mad. But.... I'm so thankfull it was him who did it. He was like a dad to me. He passed away 3 years later. I still wear the lightning bolt that matches the one he got the same day. He got his left ear pierced that day. So it's kind of special for me. I got a second piercing in both ears in high school. My mom took me to a cosmetology show, and they had a booth where they were doing it. That was many many moons ago!!

At a young age would be a good idea to get pierced.
Nice treat from an Uncle and it now has its sentimental value ^_^ nice!
What was the design of the earring that your uncle got you that matched the thunderbolt? Is the thunderbolt a dangling or pin-like earring?
Why was your mom mad? Though I get the "not letting her know" reason, why else did she get angry about it?

Mom was mad because she wanted to take me. She felt cheated out of doing it.
As for the lightning bolt,,,, my uncle gave me the match to the dangly one he had on a hoop. I wear it to this day and it never is taken out. The match is in his ear in his casket.

I got mine done at Claires - an accessory store right before my second year in high school. I was scared to when I was little because I saw some girl screaming her head off when she got it done. haha.

I got mine pierced in a beauty salon when I was 10. I think it was pay £20 for the earrings and get your ears pierced free.
I did the second holes in each ear myself, when I was 14, and the third holes in each ear myself when I was 15. I took the second out of each ear when I started stretching my ears, but when I took my stretchers out I managed to get one of the second earrings back in....if that makes sense!
Since my ears I have had my eyebrow (now healed over), septum and lip (I had snakebites last year, took them out, then got them again recently) pierced, at a piercing/tattoo place, and each piercing was £22.

A salon? Salons here only do hair and make-up.. I guess they could do that too.. I could ask ^_^
Hwoa! Earrings there are expensive! And you even have more piercings! I guess they're either gold or silver.
Stretching...?
Interesting, septum.. kind'a see it on the current photo you use as an avatar. By snakebites, you mean a kind of piercings, right?
