I have heard somewhere that the traditional CRT monitors can cause seizures in those who are susceptible (already have a pre-existing seizure disorder). They said, this maybe due to the rhythmic screen refresh rate that is triggering some brainwaves. Is there any truth to this?

The old CRT monitors have low refresh rates which can affect some people in that sense...But I think it also depends on what graphics are they viewing that people get seizures...It is possible that they are playing first-person shooting game that may give them seizures...
Even first person gaming on LCD monitors can sometimes cause seizures too...despite them having higher refresh rate...
