My baby went to Vet

Yesterday My German Shepherd went to the vet, poor baby has a growth on his foot. They tested a sample but then they say they have to test it again, I was fustrated they did not get a good sample first off as this is a 69.50 cost every time he is tested. Its not the fact he needs the test, its the fact I had already spent $520.00 on his operation and I hoped every test they took would be conclusive. Now my baby is limping and healing, pain killers were given and extremely good care while this happened but still its extremely hard watching your animal in pain. I am writing this down today as I find it extremely hard having to send him to the vet and know they only relate the pain to this place. He was so passive but of course he needs a new bandage tomorrow so I hope I can get him in the front door. Any one have tips on how to help pets with pain and growths? Is there any natural stuff our doggies can have to help them??? I want to help him but have no clue. Thanks Lisa Lomas
