to be very honest, it doesn't matter. One could live their complete life without giving a damn about any belief or god. Just live each day doing probably righteous thing and try to make others happy. that is all one should aim for in life. It is better to work for food than pray for food.

Some people do not believe in GOD coz HE cannot be seen with our physical eyes. However, denying the existence of GOD is like denying the existence of sun or air. Just like th esky wont cease to be if we dont believe in it, so GOD will always be there.
GOD is the supreme source of power and knowledge; HE is truth. Most reliegions around the world worship or remember GOD in the form of light. This is because GOD doesn't have a mortal body like us. He is a point of light, pure energy. Consider this:
Christians follow jesus christ. But Jesus said he is the son of GOD and GOD is alight, god is truth. Even Guru Nanak, founder of sikhism, said that he is the messenger of GOD who is Omkar and Nirakar, which means GOD is a point of light. Mohammed the founder of Muslim faith, indicated towards allah as ilaahi noor, meaning supreme light. Moses also spoke of Jeoah as the guiding light. These are a few references. Thus, religious messengers preached the path leading to one Supreme sourece, who is the father of all souls and is beyond all religions, castes and faith.
Just like we have a name, so does GOD. His name is SHIV. Unlike human names which depend on culture, traditions and.or fashion. GOD's name i.e. SHIV reflects his supreme an dpious duties. SHIV means the world benefactor. The supreme guide leads us all home to our ultimate abode and liberates us from sin and sorrow.
Shakespear quoted,"The rose with any other name would smell as sweet". Likewise, even if we worship GOD with different names, the rememberance reaches one supreme father.

I believe in G-d as an unlimited being who created the universe and continually keeps it in existence. It, and we, only exist because He wills it to. He is the infinite and finite and everything above anything you could imagine of Him. Since we are only finite creations, we can never understand Him with our limited minds. He was, is and will be, and is our life-force and the reason that we exist.
