Hi: I signed up for the freelance emailing and I get a really interesting job in my mail box every day. When I click on it to apply it says I have to become a member of GoFreelance. I checked on it's home page it has a BBB certification and it's 2.95 to join. Is that the only cost to get their list of jobs. Has anybody had any recent dealings with them. I've read the revues from 9 months ago, but they could have changed in that time. Am I just reaching for the moon again?

Hi sallysue. I'm no authority at homebased jobs but in my opinion, if you need to pay someone to get hired by someone else whom you're not sure will hire you...it defeats your purpose. While the fees that these sites require may seem minimal, the end result that you wish to attain isn't guaranteed. On one hand, credentials (work hours related to the job post you're applying, related reference work samples, qualifying tests passed, etc.) are usually the basis of would be "buyers" for hiring "freelancers". Seeing that you have browsed and found interesting job posts tells me that you have had experience in those fields so being a "paying" freelancer might give you an edge to qualify over the other members. But why pay when there are other similar services that are done for FREE...meaning sites that are hiring freelancers. (I can point you to some, if you're really interested.) Anyways, this is only my opinion. Thank you for letting me share this. Good luck with this endeavor.
