I think you should be able to have as many furbabies as you can reasonably take care of.

Hey that will be something so unjust , anyone should be allowed to keep as many dear ones he wants to keep , if someone loves them then why can't he keep them with him ! Its totally on your amount of gratitude showed !

I don't really get the point of it besides a money making venture for the local council. In theory it is a great idea, making people be responsible for their pets, but so many people flout the laws that it is really only punishing the people who are responsible.

It depends on the size of the place you live and how much money you have I suppose. If someone had a farm for instance and had enough money to feed them all they could keep lots of cats comfortably. i personally live in a flat and can only just afford to feed my 2 cats and myself so I wouldn't take on anymore. There have been cases of old ladies keeping hundreds of cats in a small house and they couldn't look after them and the cats have ended up suffering so that's bad and shouldn't be allowed to happen. But who's going to monitor how many cats a person is getting? it would be a hard law enforce.

I think that in certain situations that their should be a limit on how many cats and dogs you should be able to have...like a few dogs and a few cats shouldnt hurt anyting or anyone if you can take care of them..but I have also heard of some people having like thirty or fourty cats and dogs and to me that is just way to much because how can you really take care of all of those dogs and cats...I mean you would be buying dog and cat food all of the time...plus how can you have enough time to actually spend time with all of them!
