I think credit repair companys CAN really repair your credit. But once they tell you some options you probably wont be satisfied.

I'm sure it depends on where you go but I do know that I went to a place that helped me to make smaller payments to my credit card companies without having to pay so much interest. I think you have to check how legitimate the place is that you go to so you don't pay someone for nothing.

Yes they can, but you have to pay for it, all they do is make a deal with the companies you owe money to lower the interest rate and accept smaller payments. You can do the very same thing by talking to the companies your self and setting up a payment plan and then following through. Remember it was because you didn't make full or just interest payments that got you into the problem to begin with. So if you slip up again you have lost all credibility with them, but the same will happen with the repair companies if you slip up and can not make your payments to them, then you go back to the higher interest and people calling as well as now you have the repair company on that list of those you owe as well.
So I guess the moral of the whole story is don't spend more than you can repay.credit card companies are so free with handing out those cards until you get in over your head, then trust me they are not your friend any more
