Any Sim Holics out there?

I love Sims 2 but since I am working online for different things these days, I never got the time to play it because I know I would be stuck hours in the game and therefore, I don't even want to start. Otherwise, I would never get anything else done *laughs*.

I only have The Sims 2 for PC so far, but I'm contemplating buying The Urbz for my Nintendo DS sooner or later. I'm an absolute addict when it comes to downloadable content. I love getting new outfits and stuff for my sims to wear and use. I'm currently raising a few families (one of which is Amber and Jim, which are mine and my boyfriend's names), as well as trying to max out the skills of a few other groups of people. I haven't been playing as much as I used to before I got internet, but lately, I've been wanting to go back to it all.

I have never played Sims 2 yet. I am however addicted to the first one. I have all the expansion packs for it as well. I ordered Sims 2 and all the expansion packs last week so it should be here within the next week and I can not wait. I hear so many people talk about it and I know how addicting the first one was.

Oh I love sims 2 got it on Playstation and on PC, but I prefer the PC one. One question, do the playstation sims have babies?

It's one of the greatest games ever made! I have the original Sims up to the Pets expansion and I couldn't get enough playing it. Also have the Sims versions that were released for the GameBoy Advance. Now, it's Sims2 installed in the computer up to the Seasons expansion. I'm still thinking if I should get Bon Voyage. I haven't played Life Stories or Pet Stories though I would like to try Castaway Stories though there's no PC version for that yet. How different are the "Stories" series from the regular game?

Ooh, I love that game! Do you ever download new stuff for it? I think my custom downloads for The Sims 2 actually take up more space on the hard drive than the actual game. I have the PSP game too, which is actually surprisingly interesting.

I don't have Sims 2 on PC, but I played it a few times. It's really addictive and cool to play, but I prefer other games on my consoles. And I don't play it on a console because it doesn't work with a controller.

I'm addicted to the Sims 2, lol. I download so much custom content and other people's sims and what not...and love to create houses for them and what not. I haven't played in about a week though due to my new addiction to myLot, NetWinner and Moola..lol.

I love playing the Sims 2 on my PC. I can spend hours on hours just playing that games. I love to build houses and decorating them with different themes.I also love downloading customs things off the internet. I use to play it all the time on my Xbox before it broke on me. I'm going to be buying the Sims 2 on my PS2 this Friday! I can't wait to play it!!

Sims 2 is awesome. As far as I'm concerned, there are no other games in the world. How can you not like it? You have the ability to create your own utopia! And soap opera relationships, lol. I love playing around with marriages and causing unnecessary drama. And with Sims 3 on the way, I can only hope it gets better.

I totally am. I have like every sim game. well i take that back . My computer crashed and i lost all my sims :( i havnt been able to get a new computer to play on yet. But i do agree that the sims 2 and all the expansion packs are the best game ever! i am totally addicted i am one of those people that will sit down at like 7pm and then the next thing you know it the sun is rising again! crazy right! i know but it is just a neverending game that helps you escape reality and this world that we live in. i think that is why i love the game so much

I love Sims 2 as well. I'm stuck at getting Lord Mole to stop gnawing at the power cables though. Any suggestions?

I admit that I am a Sim Holic. I don't think that I have ever been as addicted to a game as I am to this one. One of the things that I find most fascinating about the game is the way it seems to provide a different destiny for different Sims. I am not trying to be mystical about this. LOL Instead, what I mean is that sometimes the game seems to select a Sim in a neighborhood that keeps showing up at someone's house, comes home from school or work with them, etc. Before you know it they are in love and I marry them off. On the other hand, even a twin sibling of that Sim may not show up at any other Sims house and I have to drag that Sim around trying to introduce it to other Sims. I really think that adds flavor to the game because it makes it seem more like real life where sister, for example, is very outgoing and popular and the other is more of a homebody and shy.

i am also a Sim Holic. I am addicted to Sims 2 for PC. I only have the base game and Nightlife -- which came together as Sims 2 Deluxe. I don't have any of the other expansion packs. I used to think that I would want Pets, but I've heard that there is a lot of work with maintaining the Pets. I really only liked the idea of having the ability for my Sims to have a cat or a dog. I don't mind having to feed them or walk them or change the litter box, but I don't want to have to worry about keeping the pets moods up or breeding them, etc. Sometimes I think it would be fun to have the University expansion pack so they could have another lifestage --- young adult. I often find myself playing into the wee morning hours as I fuel my addiction.

I have to agree with you! I think it's appealing because you can have as many alternative identities as you want...hehehe...and it's like you can "create" lives and just delete the game if you mess up. You can't do that in real life.

I love the sims 2!Crazy for this game! I only play this game in my PC anyway~ I love the game because there is unlimited creativity!!
