I'd do it if I wasn't married.
My pets and I come as a package deal. Period. A lot of times on match.com and the like, a lot of people don't like pets. At least with a pet network such as the one you mentioned, you're guaranteed to find someone who likes pets as much as or more than you do.
I've dumped a guy over him not liking my pets and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My cats have never told me they don't love me and have never told me they didn't care about me.

To each its own I guess :)
I personally wouldn't look for my date on any dating network which doesn't make me saner than people who do LOL
I think that dating agencies/networks are a commercial venue that is making a lot of money nowadays and they have to try and be as original as they can to stay afloat, so a pet owners dating network doesn't necessarily surprise me. I wouldn't use it, but I bet that they have many members :)

I would not join myself but I understand and think it is reasonable that people do this. For instance, they have J dating. Specifically for Jewish people to find other Jewish people. Sure you could find Jewish people on another web site but maybe you want to see what kind of Jewish person they are... uh as in how serious they are into the religion, orthodox or not. etc.
Some dating sites tell you whether people have animals but maybe your animals are a huge part of your life. Maybe you're a cop and you have your cop dog with you...and it's important that you find someone who will love their pets too. I couldn't date someone who hated cats. My cat is like my child...and if you hate him we can't be together.
Plus, I don't understand people who don't like pets. I need people I can understand.
Many reasons to have this.
Again, I wouldn't do it, but I can see why someone else would.

Ha ha that's funny. I guess they'd have to see how their pets get along to see if they are compatible. If their pets didn't get along then I guess they're not meant to be. I guess some people are really desperate and I guess if it works great.

PMSL It shows I'm still not awake, sorry my friend late night last night when I read it I thought OMG they've actually got a dating site for matchmaking animals! My kitty is looking for a ginger tom who is outgoing and streetwise! Then I thought hey that can't be right, so I read it again, d'oh, apologies. No I don't date any more because I am happy single but even if I want to find a date I wouldn't look for one a dating site let alone a pet owners dating network, whatever will they think of next, well at least it gave me a laugh!

Does this mean we get to date a cat or dog? LOL. I believe people who have pets are usually kinder and more considerate than those who don't like animals, but using that as a measuring stick, well that's another thing!

No, I would not look for my soul mate on a pet owners dating network. I love animals, and I treasure Sherlock, my dog. But the love of animals is not enough of a connection for me. This morning I was walking my dog when a guy in my apartment complex approached me, walking his dog. He started talking to me (I had never seen him before), and he talked a lot about his dog. Three minutes after meeting him, I kid you not, he walks right up to me (I'm holding my dog), and tries to get Sherlock to give him kisses. I mean, he's puckering up and everything! I had to work really hard not pull away and run for the hills!

I can't say that I would do that. I just don't see how the love of pets will enhance a future relationship. I think there is more to finding someone than a mutual care for pets in general. I wonder how successful this really is!

Nope...just on principle I would never consider getting hooked up trying to "find" someone on any kind of dating network, whether on-line or those phone/talk lines...I've never been that desperate...LOL

OK, but why they think pet owners would like to date other pet owners? to have more pets?...lol
This my question, why....I have no clue...

Maybe the concept of it's cheaper by the dozen??....LOL So maybe they just think if one person is a pet lover and owner they would prefer someone who is also a pet lover/owner...of course that could be tricky if one person has six cats and the other has just as many or more... that would be practically a zoo :(

I think some people find it necessary to find a soulmate that also loves pet. Pets are often victims in domestic violence too, so if you end up marrying or living with a pet owner, at least you know that if the relationship doesn't work, your pet will not suffer the consequences. I never think like that, but after reading about pet abuse relationship with domestic violence I know this can be the reason. Much like single parents would prefer marrying or living with those that can get along with their children or at least doesn't have a criminal history against children.

It make sense. You are right, at least you don't met the abuser...
