When we are under stress, we may feel our muscles tighten, our heart beats faster, our breathing becomes rapid and shallow, and our brain becomes more alert. Of course, in small doses, stress can improve someone's performance in situations such as sport or work, but if excessive or prolonged it can harm our health. Sometimes when I under stress, I usually suffer poor appetite, headaches, migraine, difficulty sleeping, and increased susceptibility to infections. I will feel very sick, anxious, unable to concerntrate, tired, sad, or depressed. Sometimes I can react it by myself, but sometimes I can't. I will need the support from my family members. What do you do when you under stress?

I think I actually work harder. I get headaches though. I hate them too. Makes me feel awful and sick. I like to exercise when I feel stressed. I will walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes. When you get off, you feel better and almost forget about the stressor. Notice, I said almost. I am the type of person who keeps replaying stuff in my head. I am working on this though.

See now, the eating part is bad. I try not to eat extra. That is the point of exercising, I guess.

I have a few remedies when I'm stressed up. I would go for a swim and make my body tired so that I can sleep well at night. Sometimes, I would play games in order to relax my mind. Another alternative is to take a nap.

If I make my body tired, I will feel more stressful.

First, I take a deep breath, then do the usual breathing exercise. A friend told me to recite a prayer in my thoughts and relax. After quite a while, I feel everything is okay.

Yes, I know this exercise helps to calm my body and mind. Deep breathing using the diaphragm and abdominal muscles is the basis of most relaxation methods.

Hello, cydzzj! in one occasion i had to under go a period of depression or stress.at that time i started meditating on somebody's suggestion and ventilated my feelings to my friends and wife who supported my cause and helped in never allowing me to leave alone at that time.they always insisted me to take regular breakfasts and meals. that was great really and after about six months gradually i was relieved of the stress.during that period i was hospitalized for a period of 23 days because i had developed heart problem.thank you.allthe best.

I laugh! That is a fixall for almost everything! If you can't fix it the all you can do is laugh about it, I have been there when you are so stressed that you are sick and the problem did not go away, it just got worse as I added to it.....but whn you laugh about it well it is fixable.

If you have a great deal of stress in your life, the following steps will help you deal with it and feel healthier as a result. Over 2-3 weeks, make a note of the situations in which you felt under stress and whether stress made you perform better or worse than normal. Think about how you might have responded differently to feel more in control. Ask people close to you how they react in similar situations. Accept that there are some things you can't control, such as traffic hold-ups on the way to work. Organize and prioritize your time. Do what is important first. Anticipate deadlines and reduce your other commitments around these times. Identify tasks and break them into smaller sections if they seem too big to cope with all at once. Use a checklist and tick off tasks as you complete them. Have realistic expectations. Don't commit yourself to tasks that you feel unable to do or don't want to do; delegate when you are able to do so. Don't feel demoralized or guilty if things go wrong. Take regular breaks through the day, even if it is only to look out of the window. Have lunch breaks.

You have a point here.Indeed, stress is just like a strong enemy to students. Sometimes you feel like you have been in its hand and sometimes you feel like you have gone trapped and couldn't think, react, or even talk...a common phenomenon right? As to myself, ?I usually deal with stress by thinking about other interesting or unforgetable things that I have experienced, which will always make me calm down and recover myself. If it's possible, I will listen to music, watch movies, chat with friends...anything I can do to get rid of stress I am happy to attempt.

good thing about me is i discovered my own stress coping techniques few years ago when i was in college and it has helped me alot when i worked in a corporate world. i get same symptoms as u. and migraine is usually the toughest to fight with. especially when i get too much on my mind and suddenly i get this terrible migraine. when i'm stressed, i start everything with silence. a quick break to the washroom when im in the office or when i'm at home i just stay in my room and stay still for awhile. sometimes it helps to detach from the world for awhile. and after the silence i start playing the guitar. i play my favorite piece. and sing my heart out. playing instantly makes me feel better. all in all -- my stress coping techniques is really all about doing things i really really enjoy.
