What do you often do on the responses of your discussion? Do you always choose best response or just prefer to rate on the comments.
In my case, I always rate comments, but have not try giving best response to somebody. I would like to be fair to everybody and besides my questions is not just like a problem solving, it goes like a survey.

I try to rate everyone who responds to my discussions with a plus sigh. If it isn't a good response that actually pertains to the topic at hand, I respond, but do not rate them in any kind of way.
I choose a besr response for the discussions that I make if the responder responds with the best response that I am looking for.
Most of my discussions have a best response chosen but not all of them.
Some of them have responses but nothing extraordinary that I am looking for is why.

Thank you for the best response. I agree also that we should not rate others negatively. We are all allowed to voice our opinions. I just hate when someone does respond with a one word like, ok, yeah, thanks, etc., or they respond with something that has nothing to do with the discussion at all or they spam it. I still don't rate them negative. I don't rate them at all or respond. There is no response for those one word replies. I am here to help others and receive help and friendship in return.
I always will rate positive or skip over them.

Yeah, there are some members, though most are honest with their responses, but there are some still who just response for the sake of gaining post. But then if you read their responses, you will find out it is not related to the discussion. But I don't want to be nasty as to giving a negative rate. I only give positive rate.

I usually add comments to each response of my discussions. But I seldom rate them.I don't know how this rating thing take effect. Is that important?I'm confused. Can you share your opinion and experience?
I find it difficult to choose a best response,so maybe it's fair and good to keep it vacancy.

Based on what I have read on FAQ's section, if you rate members it will help them increase their earnings, and at the same time, you will help the admin gathered reliable and relevant data just by rating. If you rate discussion, you can help other member to increase their earnings, same as we help you, when we rate your comments.
Yeah, sometimes it is hard and sometimes choosing best response is not applicable especially if the question goes like a survey, just like when you ask - What operating system you use?
But now I am starting to choose best response on every topic I made, if it is applicable, but if not, I just keep it unmarked.

I always rate positive those who respond to my discussion and i also developed the habbit of making a comment to all responses... after a week or so... i choose the best response...
I love the feeling when i see that my response was chosen as the best that is why i return the favor by choosing one for my discussions... we all have our own criteria for choosing a best response so even if your discussions are like surveys... you should still be able to choose one...

I always rate and select the best response in discussions I have started. It won't hurt to give a BR to someone, in fact you are helping in giving them a good reputation.
I don't think it'll be unfair to give someone a BR since it's subjective. It's up to you to choose. It does not take that much effort but it'll sure make someone happy.

I hardly ever give best responses. I have done it before but the one time I gave a best response a day later somebody else did an evan better response, so I just rate them, it still gives them points.
