What viand is your best compliment for rice?

For me, it's tinola - a Filipino cuisine composed of chicken and its broth spiced with pepper leaves and is best eaten steamy hot. Perfect for rainy days and mixed with salt in the rice.
If you haven't tried it, I suggest you should come to my country and buy tinola from restaurants who sell native cuisines. Another is adobo, which is of pork, soysauce, peppercorn, laurel leaves and vinegar. A perfect combo for a tiring activity. If you're not so familiar with what I am talking about, go Google those words now! xD
