How did Peter Petrelli get his telekinetic powers?

One of the last episodes of Heroes (prior to the writers' strike) show Peter opening a vault using his telekinetic powers. How did he get this power?

I think it was Sylar because he had all those peoples powers that he killed. And all Peter needed to do to collect a power was to be near that person. I think it was when they were fighting in front of that building in New York.

So when Peter and Sylar fought, did Peter absorb all of Sylar's learned powers, or did he only absorb the "I'll open your head and learn the power from your brain" power?

I am not quite sure. I just know that he can collect them so may he collected ALL of Sylars powers. WHO knows.

If I'm not mistaken, he got it from Sylar. Sylar killed the telekinetic guy, then Peter met him, so Peter absorbed his powers.

I think he got it from Brian or maybe from sylar since sylar killed brian for his ability

I think that was when Sylar wants to kill the cheerleader, peter was close to cheerleader and then they was knocked by sylar and then peter was very close to syler... :|
