I went to a private school when I was a kid growing up and I think private schools are as bad as public schools, what do you think?

In my opinion Public Schools are better. When you send your child to a private school I feel like you are sheltering you child from what the wrold is really like. Versus at a public school allows them to see what the world is really like. The advantage of private schools is that the students get more one on one time with the teachers versus you don't being in a public

You are very welcome. I just think that private schools do care a lot more about the childs education but they are very costly.

That depends on the private school. My children go to private school, and it is a wonderful environment. It is small so there is a lot of one on one for each student because of the 10 to one student to teacher ratio. It is a Christian private school that adheres to the the Biblical model of love and respect. This is also a very academically challenging school. My son's read books in the 9th grade I did not read until college. Not only do they read these books, they are able to give you a really well written critique of these books. So I do believe that Christian private education is better than public education when done properly.
I do know that some private schools are as bad or worse depending on the circumstances. For example: IF you have a small private school and you allow students that have been kicked out of public school in then their influence on the student body as a whole is greater than if those same students attended public school. I know of some schools this happened to and it was a serious mess to say the least. I know that experiences are different for many people, but my public school experience was horrible! One of my son's public school experience was a nightmare as well. So I guess it depends on the school and what is allowed to happen.
Schools should really screen teachers better and keep cameras in the classroom to hear how they are treating the children. I had some horrible things said to me by teachers and other students. The teachers knew about bullying and did nothing as a matter of fact they actually contributed by pointing out certain things in front of other students. Experience is going to dictate this answer for most.

I like private schools because i think that the teachers care about the students education but private schools are expensive, i don't really like public schools because i think that most of the teachers just go to work for the check instead of caring about the students education, I think private schools are bad but not as bad as public schools, thanks for replying, i appreciate it
