Preferences in food choices

Is there any food that you like, but your mate doesn't and the other way around? My boyfriend/husband likes a dish called Barbequed Noodles. To me it is gross. After you cook the noodles, you fry them in butter until they are slightly crunchy. Then, you sprinkle on some Parmesan Cheese. Then just a dab of Open Pit Barbeque sauce. Has to be Open Pit, according to Bruce. To me this dish is awful. He has it for lunches and when I am away at my mother's house. Is there anything that you or your other half likes but it totally disgusts you?

I think it's the other way around...I like more things than him...I love seafood, and he only like shrimp deep fried and fish deep fried but no seafood any other way. I love any and all kinds of seafood. So I totally disgust HIM!

I love sushi. My sweetie won't even kiss me until after I've brushed my teeth after I eat it. He loves mushrooms. I won't even eat at the same table with him when he brings them home on a pizza. So he doesn't like raw fish and I don't like fungus. I guess it could be worse.

Well, I'm not married nor do I have a boyfriend, but I can tell you right now, after reading your man's favorite food, THAT will definitely be on my disgusting list should my boyfriend/husband ever partake of it, lol.

HA! HA! HA!.....thanks Sherrir101 for providing good subject of discussion about agreement or disagreement issue related to preferences in food choices between two(2) parties. So far, between me and JD/jdpartosa(mylot)/Jessica Catlover(facebook), we don't have much different in food preferences. You know why, Sherri, because we live apart at almost 1,250 miles.....look weird, isn't it!!!. Anyway, I like what ever she likes to have and I'm truckle on this issue. Back to your case, I think you can enjoy your husband's faves food by preparing an integrated cooking; the mixture of half-like cooking....ha! ha! ha!...half for what you like and another half for your husband favorites. I think better that way, whoa...!!! a new recipe.....and no reason for not..... I think!!!. And what do you think, Sherri? (my breathe is only for 2222)

We don't have issues just differences. LOL We have what he likes twice a week, what I like twice a week and what we share in liking -the rest of the time. (((hugs, Mike)))

Hi, sherrir101. At an early stage of marriage, yes, I got problem with this kind of stuff. But, after that I don't have any much problem about preparing any meal for my husband. You know why? Because he is a vegetarian. So, what else?...for the first year, I have to take my time learning how to prepare vegetarian foods. Actually, it is uneasy. Now I got used with it and an interesting menu to prepare for his meal. Hopefully, one day you can cook a special menu from your own recipe to your husband that he like much to have it and you like much to prepare for it. Happy Postings and Earnings, sherrir101. HAPPY DAPPY.

I am not a fussy eater but there is one dish that I detest having to make. Since we try not to waste food we make a dish called "impossible pie" that uses up all the left overs from the fridge. Sometimes it is pretty good depending on what I have left over but most times it is not to my liking. It is easy to make since you just use bisquick, milk and 2 eggs to make a batter. In a glass pie plate that you have sprayed with pam you add any left over veggies, cut up meat pieces, onion, mushrooms, whatever you have a little of in the fridge. Pour the batter over it and bake until top is brown. I make one once that had chicken, corn, onion, mushroom, and peas in it. I also added some grated cheese to it and it was wonderful. The flavors blend together for a unique taste. I have made some that had broccoli, butter beans, ham and mushrooms in it but I did not care for it. Ya never know what type of flavor you are gonna get so I would have to say this is one of my least favorite dishes.

Thank god that my spouse can go with me with all the things which i love to. I cook different kinds of dish so that he can try new things and different taste. As for his food, i guess i have no problem up to now. There is not much problem with us, you know that if he bought something then i wouldn't eat and the other way around. I guess, most important thing is that thry to understand each other and as for me i am trying to mix things which he likes in to my cooking, then i can make sure that he wouldn't throw my cooking away.

My husband's favorite meal is Shake 'N Bake pork chops. I would never make that if it wasn't for him- he just loves it! When I make his pork chops for dinner, I just eat the side dishes. Same with steak, which I don't make often. I don't eat it but will make it for him.

MMMm sounds good I'd love to try it. Maybe Im just hungry lol. My boyfriend doesnt like alot of things I eat like pineapple pizza so we always have to get 2 pizzas. Hes a huge meat eater and I am not. I will eat meat just not as much as he does. He doesnt like uncooked onions either. It does make it difficult to make dinner choices sometimes.
