Clinton health care plan

Ok, I will admit that I do not know much about Hillary Clinton's health care plan. I think it is because she has been rather vague about it (for instance, I don't remember her talking about where the funding for it was coming from when she spoke on campus awhile back). So I was rather shocked to learn that "she might be willing to have workers' wages garnisheed if they refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans." Yes, the latest news is that: When pressed during a television interview, she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages, automatic enrollment." Now correct me if I am wrong, but won't you already have health insurance if you could afford it? I know I would. So garnishing my wages will just make things more difficult for me. The reason I don't have health insurance is that I can't afford it--the little bit of money I am making goes towards things like my house payment and food. If this is how she plans on fixing the problem, then it is no wonder that I do not trust her.

I agree morgan. We should be able to choose if we want to buy health insurance or not. Nobody should be forced to enroll in an insurance program.

Actually, you can go to her campaign website and she has her plans spelled out. Same with Obama, Ron Paul, and the rest of them. I've not really checked out her site, but I have looked at Obama's and Ron Paul's. I watched the debate with her and Obama the other nite, and honnestly, I think Obama's plan is plausible. I also like that he wants to make veterans care and the application process for benefits easier. I fought and fought with the VA for nearly 12 years before I was able to finally have the correct rating. Ron Paul, although a republican, has some good plans, but I just don't see this country voting republican again for a few terms.

Ron Paul does not have enough support to stand a chance, no matter how good his ideas are. D'oh, I have never went to her website. I guess I really should do that shouldn't I?

I have to agree, Ron Paul doesn't have the supporters. He's also being snubbed in the debates from what I have seen. It's really kind of interesing... They're not giving him a chance to say his piece. I caught a snippet from a debate the other day, the two "major" candidates were sparring over "who said what" a few years ago,, and the whole "your taking it out of context" thing. and Mr. Paul spoke up and said, "Why are we arguing over who said what when the people want to know what we plan to do about the economy and the war in Iraq".... He was promptly hushed and skipped over for the next question. He's got some good ideas, but I still have problems voting for a rich republican who has never been on the working man's side of the street.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for forced participation in all her programs. Freedom is only for her and her buddies.

Hilary Clinton's health plan IS very vague. That is one thing that was apparent to me for years, even when Bill Clinton was the one in office. She leans so close to socialism it isn't funny. No health plan is flawless, but hers scares me a little too much for comfort.

A lot of the things that she says are vague. I noticed that when she was speaking at the campus awhile back. She had a laundry list of goals; but for the life of me, I had no idea how she is going to accomplish any of them.

DO NOT vote for Hillary! She will ruin this country! There are really no good candiates left, so she will probably get voted for President. When that happens, I'm leaving the country. I don't mind that a woman would be President, in fact, that's pretty cool, but not her. Please people, do not vote for that woman.

The Health Care Plan will be funded partially by 'the government' and partly by enrollement. Well, 'the government' and the enrollement both come form the same source don't they? Plus, with the kind of health care plan she is talking about, older Americans will be 'warehoused' in facilities operated by the government, which in effect, means the older Americans like me will be put into a government runned facility with doctors and nurses paid, again, from tax payer dollars. Hillary's Health Care Plan is a joke........She is using it as a solution to people's health care issues, making eveyone believe she is concerned and doing something for Americans, when in fact, she will be condemning many of us to a life in an institution - That's not something I would voluntarily vote for......would you?

I have never quite brought into her concern. It has always seemed like nothing more than a big act to me. Which is one of the reasons I dont trust her. I grew up around someone who could fake concern, but was just acting to get in people's good graces, so she could take advantage of them. Hillary so reminds me of this person.

Wow, just another reason not to vote for her. I feel that is a total infringement on people's rights, who is she to determine how our hard earned dollars are spent?

This may not be the perfect plan but the current for profit health care plan is defintly not working. I think that any plan put forth by anyone should firstly take aim at abolishing the corporate giants that offer health care. I think america should start taking care of its people which would begin with some sort of government run or regulated health care. Garnishing the wages of those who cant afford health care in the first place is deffintly the wrong way to go and would really only perpetuate the problem.
