Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to the Jelly Belly factory and took a tour...It was fun! They gave us free jelly beans on our way out, but naturally we had to buy some, too. I bought some of their jbzs....M & M like candies...for the ride back home.
Have you ever taken a candy tour?

I went on the Jelly Belly factory tour about 6 years ago with my daughters first grade class. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast. They sold they jelly bellys that were not perfect at a discounted price. I ate so many of thsoe things that day!! Did you visit the factory in northern california??

There is a site online that will allow you to buy "Belly Flops" you know those jelly bellys that didn't shape right or got stuck together, for like $2 a pound. I ordered there once but they don't allow you to pick your flavor and I swear the ones I got tasted like pickles and sausage.
So now I just go to the candy store and get a bag of their watermelon ones. They are my favorite.

Yes, lol, they do have *pickle* and *sausage* beans...but they also have worse flavors. You don't want to know.

I do know. Vomit, dirt, black pepper, ear wax. I got my daughter a sample pack of the Bernie Bots beans from Harry Potter. Why was I not surprised they were made by jelly belly. LoL

I haven't ever taken a candy tour. It sounds like it would be fun to go on.
I love jelly belly's! Lucky you got free samples.

I bet that was fun!!! I toured a candy factory in Las VEgas with my daughters....I don't know the name of it any more but it was interesting to see how they made the different candies! We got samples at the end and went to their store a bought a few things too....can't sit at a slot machine the whole time you are in Vegas!

I have never been on a tour of candy factory I have seen the shows on tv where they show you how they make some of the candy though.
It would be neat to take a tour of the factory but of course it would make you want to buy some.

I'm also kinda jealous... I'm fascinated with how candy and stuff like it is manufactured, but the closest tour I've taken is of Ben and Jerry's. (which was really interesting, and fun, but not exactly the same sort of thing)
And, of course, I love Jelly Beans.

NO i HAVE NOT!! but i am SOO jealous of you!!I love jelly bellies, and they dont really sell a whole lot of them here where i live, they are really expensive!! They used to have them in the bulk section of the grocery store, and i could switch the tags on the jelly bellys from the regular jelly beans! but i doubt that i was the only one taht was doing that, cause they have now stopped selling them!
HOW FREAKING RUDE!
