I'll make things short, after watching the film Juno, I started to think how many women are still thinking the way she is right now? after being pregnant at the age of 16, she find a way to settle the biggest event in her life at her age. To think of an adoption, for a young girl like her is the most perfect way for this, I am thinking how many women are like her? and if you the guy, what will you do to handle that certain situation? Let me hear your words folks.

I think that if i were to get a girl pregnant and for some reason she wanted to give the child up for adoption or something like that I would just go to ther before the child was born and tell her that if she would just sign over the child to me I would be more than happy to raise my child instead of having it adopted out and never really knowing who its real parents were...because in my opinion if you get a woman pregnant you have just as much responsibility as the woman does to raise that child, and make sure they were always taken care of not adopted out or something like that!

I think we need more guys like you in this world! :)
A lot of guys don't step up to the plate and let the girl take most of the responsibility. I'm glad there are people out there that would do the right thing.

i was 19 when i had my first son, and i gave him up for adoption. the main reason was because i could not afford to take care of him. i really did try though i had a full time job, but i was barely making it. i had no car, i had an apartment but it wasn't the best place in the world. it would have broke my heart to see him go without. but instead i get to see him be happy, healthy and have a life. now i do disapprove of these women who get pregnant and give their children away for paychecks. alot of people do look down on me, but i can say that i am not going to be looked down upon because i am having to live off of the government. yes i get to see pictures and when he turns 12 i will a get a vistitation with him.

An abortion is a better option for someone who is unable to support the child emotionally & financially. There are enough children who need adopted as it already is.

I haven't seen the movie but I was happy to hear that she came to the idea of adoption all on her own. Too many young girls, heck too many women period, in her situation opt to have an abortion.
I just posted a discussion about abortion. I can't wait to get nailed to the cross for that one.
But yes in the movie I thought they played the scenario perfectly.

I put my daughter up for adoption when I was 18. It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I certainly don't blame other young women for not wanting to go through that experience.

I would choose adoption. Giving the chance for the child in your womb to at least live and maybe have his/her own live would be the best gift you could give to yourself. Why? Part of it is yourself wo why not give yourself a chance to live. Giving it for adoption is like giving a part yourself a chance to live and have a life. Abortion on the other hand is like killing a part yourself and never giving yourself a chance to expand yourself to others. There are many parents out there that could not bear a child and is looking for children to rear give them also a chance.

I was sixteen when I had my first baby and I am so glad that I chose to keep him. I did think of adoption at first but could not bear the fact that someone else would have my baby. Adoption is a very brave act and the best for mothers who just are not ready. Lots of people in this world want children and cannot have them. Mothers who chose adoption over abortion are angels.

If pregnancy can be avoided, on the first place, then there will be no such issues. But since teenage pregnancies is so rampan, well, the best solution we could offer to them is abortion. If they are not ready to raise their won kid yet, better let someone adopt it. In that way they can avod the sin of murder and they will be able to give their child an opportunity to live and have a family.
