I'm a huuuge fan of Nana, originally by Ai Yazawa, and I came across a list of other series she wrote. And I found that one series, Paradise Kiss, was made into an anime series. I love Ai's drawing style and her genre. Has anyone else watched Paradise Kiss or Nana?

I have whole manga set as it is the only Yazawa title published in my country. I think th manga is very good and anime was a decent adaptation. They did made some weird sd scenes (sd like super deformed by the way;P) but oveall it was a pleasure watching the series. I know that Ai YAzawa doesn't write happy endings and I was kind of pleased with how it turned out. Asfor music I'll will be greatful for the rest of my liife for choosing Franz Ferdinand song as ending because they are great band and they diserve to be more known around the world:D And opening was great, too... untill I saw that horrible pv on youtube. How come that japanes can make really good songs but most of the time they are unable to make watchable videos_

nana the movie was so-so, so i didn't bother with the manga or the movie.
but paradise kiss is a really good manga
well, that is, it was a great manga up until the end.
i'm not much into books that don't end happily ever after (sorry if that spoils things for you), and while the story really is good, the other thing i didn't like about it was that it made me think too much.
coz right now, i'm in the same position as the girl - just finished schoolling and stepping into the work force and i'm faced with quite a few decisions that could decide the course of my life. one of the reasons i read manga is to escape from having to think of those choices and unfortunately in the case, the heroine is faced with lots of those decisions, so it just made me really depressed.
