Why do we get blinded by "love"

Sometimes I think about the things that I've done that are out of my normal character for men... After the relationship end I come to grips and wonder WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING.... How many of you women/men totally just gave yourself to people who just didn't appreciate you?
