to finish or not to finish...

I have some acquaintances who believe that college is just a form of vice...They said that finishing high school is already enough for someone to have a job...And besides that,they said that going to college is just a waste of money and time...I don't agree with these principle...I definitely think that college will lead people to a better life... What's your view of going to college?
